Production begins this week on Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, written and directed by Lorene Scafaria. The pre-apocalyptic comedy stars Golden Globe Award winner Steve Carell and Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley.

David Tennant and Catherine Tate are to appear together on stage for the first time in a new production of William Shakespeare's timeless comedy Much Ado About Nothing directed by Josie Rourke. Opening at Wyndham's Theatre on Wednesday 1 June with previews from Monday 16 May and booking until Saturday 3 September 2011, Much Ado About Nothing is presented in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions. Booking for the production opens today (8 January 2011) and further casting will be announced shortly.

According to reports from Variety, Julie Andrews, Gemma Arterton, Matthew Goode and Gabriel Byrne have all signed on to star in a screen adaptation of Agatha Christie's book 'Crooked House.'
