The Nederlander Organization and Pantages Theatre, Hollywood announced the major winners in all categories from the 2nd Annual JERRY HERMAN AWARDS, which took place this weekend on Sunday, May 19th at Pantages Theatre. ANNIE's Jane Lynch Appears on The View Tomorrow

Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch, who stars in the hit FOX television show "Glee" as ruthless cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester and who made her Broadway debut last week as tyrannical orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in ANNIE, will be a guest on "The View" tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21. In the New York area, "The View" airs at 11:00 AM on WABC-TV Channel 7. Check local listings. Lynch will play Miss Hannigan through Sunday, July 14.

The Nederlander Organization and Pantages Theatre, Hollywood have announced that the 2nd Annual Jerry Herman AWARDS, a celebration in the achievement and excellence in high school musical theatre in Los Angeles will be hosted at the Pantages Theatre tonight, May 19, 2013 at 7pm. Red Carpet celebrity arrivals will begin at 6pm on Sunday evening. Single tickets for this awards celebration are now on sale to the general public.

Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST to Make French-Language Debut in Paris, October 2013

Producer and President of Disney Theatrical Productions, Thomas Schumacher and Stage Entertainment France, today announced that they will continue their ongoing producing partnership with the premiere of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, which will make its debut in Paris, France on October 24th, 2013 at the Mogador Theatre, marking the first time the production will be performed in French.

New ANNIE Cast Recording Featuring Jane Lynch Goes on Sale at Palace Theatre Tonight

Shout! Broadway has announced that the New 2012 Broadway Cast Recording for ANNIE is available for purchase at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets), beginning tonight, May 7. The merchandise stand is open to the public one hour prior to performance. Digital release will be on Tuesday, May 28. The recording will be released to national retail outlets on Tuesday, July 2.

Breaking News: JEKYLL & HYDE to Close on May 12 on Broadway

It was announced today that the new Broadway production of JEKYLL & HYDE -starring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox - will play the final performance of its limited Broadway engagement on Sunday, May 12, 2013, after 15 previews and 30 regular performances at the Marquis Theatre.Direct from a 25-week national tour which launched in October 2012, JEKYLL & HYDE began previews on Broadway Friday, April 5, 2013 and opened on Thursday, April 18, 2013.

The 5th Annual National High School Musical Theater Awards to Be Held on Monday, July 1

The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) has announced that its 5th annual talent showcase will take place on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 7:30pm at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre (200 W 45th St). At this 'Super Bowl' of amateur musical theater, student winners of awards competitions that take place across the United States will perform songs exclusively from the musical theater canon in the quest to win the coveted title of Best Performance by an Actress or Best Performance by an Actor and a Jimmy Award, named for legendary Broadway producer/theater owner James M. Nederlander, in recognition of his generous support of young artists.

Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards Winners Announced

Broadway In Chicago has announced the two award recipients from the Second Annual Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards: John Clay III from Oak Park, Ill. (Oak Park River Forest High School) and Taylor Marie Sherry from St. Charles, Ill. (St. Charles North High School), who will represent the state of Illinois at The Jimmy Awards in New York on July 1, 2013.
