The new Broadway musical, An American in Paris begins previews tonight, March 13 and will open on Sunday, April 12 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street.)

Show Choir! - The Musical is a melodious mockumentary about America's favorite teen pastime...with jazz hands. This original musical comedy by Mark McDaniels and Donald Garverick has been developing in New York City since 2006, including an award winning production at the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival and a sold out run at the 2010 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Show Choir! also received acclaimed productions at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and The American Conservatory Theatre - San Francisco in 2012.

Harvey Fierstein is on a UK kick these days. According to the Daily Mail, the book writer and actor said that NEWSIES, which is currently touring the United States, will arrive in the West End 'in the next couple of years,' once the right theater is available.

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the nationally renowned summer arts day camp, will present three different free student art exhibits in Manhattan this spring, at the lobby gallery at 430 Park Avenue (between 55th-56th Streets) during March and April, and in May at the 7th floor gallery of the UJA-Federation at 130 East 59th Street (between Park-Lexington Avenues).

Broadway In Chicago has announced the fourth annual Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards held at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 East Chestnut Place) on Monday, June 1, 2015. Schools and students from the state of Illinois are invited to submit and 24 finalists (12 actors & 12 actresses) will be invited to participate in the program.
