Bad Jews runs tonight, June 9 through July 19, 2015 (opening night is June 17, 2015) in the Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse.

The Washington engagement of Disney's NEWSIES, the Tony Award-winning smash hit musical, will play an exclusive two-week engagement at National Theatre. The production begins performances tonight, June 9, for a limited two-week engagement through June 21.

Disney Theatrical Productions, Shea's Performing Arts Center, and Albert Nocciolino announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Buffalo engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Saturday, June 20th at 10:00 AM. Tickets start at $35.  The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at Shea's Buffalo Theatre on September 29th for a limited engagement of one week through October 4th as a part of the M&T Bank 2015-16 Broadway Series.   

Christopher Wheeldon has won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Choreography for AN AMERICAN IN PARIS. 

It's that time of year, and I can't help but wonder if your CD collection and iPod are Tonys ready. It's just a handful of hours until the 69th annual Tony Awards, which will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 8/7c on CBS. This Broadway season has some exciting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at least pre-ordering).

Lead producers Daryl Roth, Hal Luftig and David Mirvish present the Canadian premiere production of Broadway's Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots). Kinky Boots, Broadway's huge-hearted, high-heeled hit which previews from 21 August at London's Adelphi Theatre, will become the first West End musical to partner with TodayTix in their UK mobile theatre lotteries.

School of Rock-The Musical may not hit Broadway until later this year, but a select group of people are currently getting a sneak peek at the Grammercy Theatre to watch an early version of the new musical. With the performances underway, the creative team, including Andrew Lloyd Webber and Julian Fellowes, have released a new video detailing the show's journey to the stage. Check it out below!

A panel of nationally recognized judges, including Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award-winner, Rita Moreno; choreographer and Broadway dancer Michael Balderrama; director Michael Donovan; and producer, director and choreographer Andy Ferrara, announced the 2015 winners of The Rita Moreno California High School Musical Honors - formerly called The California High School Musical Honors - at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts. Sponsored by Children's Musical Theater San Jose and Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation, this yearly regional awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement in high school musical theatre in the greater California region.

Rehearsals are currently underway for Broadway's new musical Amazing Grace, which will play Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street) with performances beginning Thursday, June 25 for a Thursday, July 16 opening night. The cast features Tony Award nominee Josh Young, Erin Mackey, Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper, Tom Hewitt, Chris Hoch, Stanley Bahorek, Harriett D. Foy, Laiona Michelle, Rachael Ferrera and Elizabeth Ward Land. The company just gave a special sneak peek of the new musical and you can check out photos below!

In celebration of outstanding achievement in high school musical theater performances, Broadway In Chicago has announced the award recipients of the Fourth Annual Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards: Ben Love of Byron, IL (Byron High School) as BEST ACTOR for his portrayal of Edward Bloom in BIG FISH and Grace Etzkorn of Lisle, IL (Benet Academy) as BEST ACTRESS for her portrayal of Winifred Banks in MARY POPPINS. Ben Love and Grace Etzkorn will represent the state of Illinois at The Jimmy Awards in New York on June 29, 2015.

Creator Andrew Lloyd Webber has invited guests (scroll down to read the full, official invitation letter!) to the Grammercy Theatre to watch an early version of SCHOOL OF ROCK-THE MUSICAL. Tickets are now on sale for the preview concerts, scheduled for tonight, June 3 at 7:30pm, tomorrow, June 4 at 7:30pm, Friday, June 5 at 7:30pm and Saturday, June 6 at 2:00pm.

Broadway In Chicago presented the fourth annual Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards held at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 East Chestnut Place) on Monday, June 1, 2015. Schools and students from the state of Illinois are invited to submit and 24 finalists (12 actors & 12 actresses) will be invited to participate in the program. Sponsored by Grosh Backdrops & Drapery and The Mash, the newly-established Illinois chapter of the National High School Musical Theater Awards serves as an annual national celebration of outstanding achievement in musical theater performance by high school students.

The Nederlander Organization and Hollywood Pantages Theatre presented the THE 4TH ANNUAL JERRY HERMAN AWARDS, a celebration of the achievement and excellence in high school musical theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by KABC-7 Reporter George Pennacchio at the Hollywood Pantages last night, June 1, 2015. Broadway In Chicago, The Nederlander Organization and Estefan Enterprises, Inc present On Your Feet!, a new musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, legendary producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan. On Your Feet! has its Pre-Broadway World Premiere in Chicago at the Oriental Theatre, beginning tonight, June 2, and running through July 5, 2015.

MASTERWORKS BROADWAY releases the Original Broadway Cast Recording of An American in Paris. Produced by Rob Fisher and Scott Lehrer, the album is available everywhere today, June 2, 2015.

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) is pleased to announce that it will join other professional theater organizations from across the country participating in the seventh annual presentation of "The Jimmy Awards", to be held in New York City on June 29th at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA), founded and produced by Nederlander Presentations, Inc. and Pittsburgh CLO, is a national celebration of outstanding student achievement that recognizes individual artistry in vocal, dance and acting performances by high school students. "The Jimmy Award" is named in honor of James M. Nederlander, legendary Broadway theater owner and producer.
