On Monday, October 2, 2017, THE RIDE'S Award-Winning CEO/CCO and Author/Director, RICHARD HUMPHREY, will inaugurate his eighth Season of Triumph on the streets of New York while simultaneously celebrating the sixth-month sold-out anniversary of his ground-breaking virtual-reality-driven DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE powered by The Ride.

Renowned glass artist Clare Belfrage has been named SALA Festival Featured Artist for 2018 at the festival's official opening night gala at the Art Gallery of South Australia tonight (Friday, July 28).

Something big is coming to the Philadelphia region. Upper Darby Summer Stage presents the Philadelphia regional premiere of  "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" on July 28 & 29, August 4 & 5 at 7:30 pm and July 29 and August 5 at 1:30 pm. Performances take place at Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.

 Musiqa, two-time winner of the Chamber Music America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, is proud to announce its 2017-18 season. Teatro ZinZanni Seattle has announced a multi-talented, international cast of premier entertainers for its highly anticipated return limited engagement to the Northwest at King County's beloved Marymoor Park.

For a performance run that spans multiple weekends, the first weekend is often accepted as a wrinkly weekend...acknowledging some things still need to be ironed out. Recognizing that this is the first production to open at 403 N. Main Street since Aaron Nichols stepped in as Executive Director (different from the previous alignment of a tag team Managing and Artistic Directors) also deems it necessary to say that this season was selected before Nichols took charge. He was indeed actively involved before, but to accurately evaluate his effectiveness, he would need to stay in this role through the beginning of the 2020 season (ironic, yet fitting, for a target of hindsight evaluation).

Music Theater Works (formerly Light Opera Works) presents GYPSY, the tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters' success, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston, August 19 through 27. A 25-piece orchestra accompanies such well-known songs as "Everything's Coming Up Roses," "Let Me Entertain You" and "Some People."

Practicing Silence, a year-long interdisciplinary workshop exploring the many meanings of silence, will bring together an interdisciplinary team of artists and scholars at Grace Farms in New Canaan, Connecticut from June 13 to 17. For the past several months, participants have engaged a rigorous, creative process fueled by experiential and contemplative research, including a visit to The Cooper Union's anechoic chamber.

In Mind, the fourth full-length record from Real Estate, is a portrait of a mature band at the height of its power. Long respected for their deft lyrical hand and gorgeous melodies, In Mind builds upon the band's reputation for crafting perfect songs and carries Real Estate even deeper into the pantheon of great songwriters.

'Faust 3: The Turd Coming, or The Fart of the Deal' by Paul David Young, a political satire of the Trump fiasco performed by an ensemble of four clowns, will have its world premiere June 11 to 26 in The Meeting Room of Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South, presented by Skylight Productions.  Augustus Heagerty directs.

Summer is quickly approaching, and Art House's JC Fridays will kick off the season with 55 exciting visual and performing arts events! Come out and celebrate with this city-wide festival on Friday, June 2, 2017. Restaurants, galleries, stores, and event spaces throughout Jersey City will showcase a variety of art-related happenings including visual exhibitions, live music, performance acts, educational demonstrations, and more.

This past weekend, interACT Theatre Productions presented 'Sister Act The Musical' at The Baird Community Center in South Orange, New Jersey. The musical is based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg, Maggie Smith and Kathy Najimy. The musical, written by Cheri & Bill Steinkellner, opened on Broadway in 2011 and closed after 561 performances. Although the musical does not utilize songs from the film, the musical score is comprised of both fun and heartwarming songs with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater.

Eight Arizona artists representing a range of mediums from Flagstaff, Gold Canyon, the Hopi reservation, Phoenix, Prescott and Tucson will provide awards for recipients of 2017 Governor's Arts Awards.
