92nd Street Y has announced that Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, continues his popular interview series, 'Broadway Talks with Jordan Roth,' with award winning stage and screen star Cherry Jones tonight, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Jones, the Emmy and Tony Award-winning star of '24' and Doubt, will return to the Broadway stage this season as Amanda Wingfield in Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie.

Schmoes Knows, who scooped the recent Tim Burton/BEETLEJUICE sequel news last week, claims that sources have confirmed that Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones are finalizing their deals to lead Edgar Wright's upcoming film, following Henry Pym, 'a brilliant scientist who invented a substance that allowed him to change his size.' Jones would play Janet Van Dyne, later known as The Wasp.

Nathan Lane, Harold Prince, Angela Lansbury, Laura Osnes,Harriet Harris, Kate Burton, Kristine Nielsen, Alfred Uhry saluted actress Dana Ivey and arts patron Barbara Fleischmanat The Acting Company's Gala on last night, October 21 at Capitale. Ms. Ivey received the John Houseman Award recognizing her profound commitment to the development of American actors and a national audience for the theater. Ms. Fleischman was presented the Warburg Humanitarian Award for her outstanding philanthropic endeavor and support of the arts.

It's alive! Woodlawn Theatre's current production of Young Frankenstein, the Mel Brooks musical based on his hit 1974 film, is enjoyable and entertaining, perhaps more than it should be considering the mediocre material. But despite the few flaws in the material, this is one monster of a good time.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE star screen tested on Friday opposite Dakota Johnson and director Sam Taylor-Johnson. Sources suggest that the role of 'Christian Grey' will likely go to Magnussen or THE FALL's Jamie Dornan, after SONS OF ANARCHY's Charlie Hunnam exited the film earlier this month.

Spotlight on Broadway-an interactive website and multi-media project featuring the history of Broadway-has officially launched with 40 videos that chart the evolution of Broadway's 40 official theaters and honor the thousands of men and women who have worked on Broadway. Developed by the City of New York Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, in partnership with The Broadway League, each video was filmed inside one of the Broadway theaters and features insightful interviews with some of Broadway's most legendary performers and creative professionals.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Roundabout Theatre Company today hosts a private reading for a potential new production of Stephen Sondheim's Company, which might include some gender reversals in the casting of SOME of the show's iconic characters. Also, contrary to published reports, Nathan Lane is not currently attached to the workshop. We have confirmed that featured amongst the cast are Bobby Steggert, Michael Urie, and Alan Cumming. The New York Times is now reporting that Tony-winning director John Tiffany is directing and 2008 Tony nominee Daniel Evans is playing 'Bobby', who will be gay in this version of the show.

The Huntington Theatre Company's production of The Jungle Book played its 100th performance on Tuesday, October 8 at 7:30pm and had another reason to celebrate on October 11th, when the legendary Ben Vereen stopped by to pay a visit. Tony and Grammy award nominated composer and lyricist of Broadway's Big Fish, The Wild Party and The Addams Family, Andrew Lippa comes to London for the first time this November with a host of special guests. Appearing at the St. James Theatre, Andrew will be joined by performers from Broadway, the West End and further afield as he takes the audience on a journey through his life and career as a writer and composer. The concert will exclusively preview music from his latest Broadway creation Big Fish - a new musical adaptation based on the book by Daniel Wallace and the Tim Burton film (currently previewing at the Neil Simon Theatre, directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman) - and will also feature music from his hit shows, as well as his lesser known works and a selection of 'lost' material.
