“The Rookie” has been given a full-season order, Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, announced today.

 Leading into MIPCOM, global independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) announced today a raft of high-profile international sales for its highly-anticipated, new police procedural “The Rookie” starring 4-time Emmy®-nominated star Nathan Fillion (“Castle,” “Firefly”, “Modern Family”). “The Rookie” will premiere on ABC (USA) and CTV (Canada) October 16th.

Throughout October, stars across Disney|ABC Television are rallying behind National Bullying Prevention Month and encouraging viewers to #ChooseKindness through personal testimonials and videos that reinforce the importance of being kind. The LA Film Festival, produced by Film Independent, announced the winners of the 2018 Festival at the Awards Reception at the W Hotel in Hollywood presided over by Festival Director Jennifer Cochis and Film Independent President Josh Welsh. "Shark Tank," the critically acclaimed and multi-Emmy® Award-winning entrepreneurial-themed reality show, today announced the addition of three brand-new guest Sharks including Charles Barkley, Matt Higgins and, for the first time, former "Shark Tank" entrepreneur-turned-Shark, Jamie Siminoff. After his debut in the tank in 2013, Siminoff went on to sell his invention, Ring, to Amazon for over a billion dollars. The show, produced by MGM Television and Sony Pictures Television, which has become a culturally defining series, returns for its 10th season, SUNDAY, OCT. 7 at 10 p.m. EDT, before moving to its regular timeslot the following SUNDAY, OCT. 14 at 9 p.m. EDT. It has been "A Decade of Dreams" for "Shark Tank," and this year will be no different. The 10th season will also bring back powerhouse fan favorites, including Sarah Blakely, Bethenny Frankel, Rohan Oza and Alex Rodriguez. The guest Sharks, who are icons and trailblazers in their respective business fields, will appear individually alongside Sharks Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O'Leary in various episodes during the 2018-2019 season.

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 12th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 6-16, 2018, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. Following the success of the first season of "American Idol" on ABC, which crowned Iowa-native Maddie Poppe on its May 21 grand finale, America's beloved singing competition series announced today the list of audition cities for the network's second season. The nationwide search for the next superstar kicks off SATURDAY, AUG. 25, as the Idol Bus jumps into gear across America, offering hopefuls the chance to audition for a shot at superstardom.  

The ABC Television Network announces May sweeps programming, airing through May 23, including series finales of 'Once Upon a Time,' airing May 18; and 'The Middle,' which completes its nine-year run with a special one-hour episode on May 22.
