Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati presented by TriHealth announces by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played a record breaking three week run in 2014 returns to Cincinnati for a limited engagement March 29 - April 3, 2016 and the smash hit Broadway musical, DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will play a strictly limited engagement April 20 - 24, 2016. DMI Soundtracks has announced the immediate availability on iTunes of the New Broadway Cast Recording for Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy.  The recording was produced and engineered by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.  The CD is slated for release in June. 

Tickets for the West End production of Motown the Musical, opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre in February 2016, are released for sale today (15 May 2015).  With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, Motown the Musical is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright.  London previews will begin on 11 February 2016 with press night on 8 March 2016 with the show booking to 22 October 2016.  Casting and further information about Motown the Musical will be released shortly.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) will honor internationally acclaimed theatre designer and six-time Tony Award Winner Bob Crowley at the NYTW 2015 Spring Gala tonight, May 11, 2015. The event, which will be held at the Edison Ballroom (240 W 47th St.) will be chaired by Disney Theatrical Production President Thomas Schumacher, Sherie Rene Scott, Jack O'Brien, and John Barrett.

Today in 2006, Tarzan opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, where it ran for 486 performances. Tarzan: The Musical is based on the Disney film of the same name and the story by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The songs are written by Phil Collins and David Zippel, with a book by David Henry Hwang. The production was nominated for a Tony award for Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Natasha Katz). The cast Featured Josh Strickland, Jennifer Gambatese, Shuler Hensley, Merle Dandridge and Chester Gregory.

"BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" is a musical treat for the entire family!
