Jim Caruso's Cast Party is where the brightest Broadway, jazz and cabaret stars hang out, celebrate and entertain each other until the wee hours of the morning. Birdland has been the Manhattan home to the 'extreme' open mic for twelve successful years, and with a newly signed 20-year lease, there are many, many nights of madcap, shocking and musically thrilling impromptu performances in store.

At Birdland every Monday night at 9:30pm, Jim Caruso's Cast Party celebrates talent from every corner of the entertainment scene. Broadway, jazz, cabaret, pop, folk, country…over the past twelve years, the Cast Party crowds have been entertained by most every genre of music! This past week, the talent was off-the-charts. Rachel Tucker, the recent star of The Last Ship on Broadway, gained a slew of new fans with two Kander & Ebb anthems that had the crowd standing, stomping and cheering for more!

At Birdland this past week, Jim Caruso's Cast Party was a jam-packed, sold-out crazy-quilt of talent. The weekly 'extreme' open mic night was the place to hear Broadway tunes, jazz standards, an Italian pop tune, a Beyonce hit, the blues, and a few original tunes that defied description.
