The new film Must Come Down by up and coming filmmaker Kenny Riches will take place tonight, September 24 at 8pm at Boise Contemporary Theater, 854 Fulton St, in downtown Boise. The film will be followed by a Q&A with Kenny Riches (writer/director), David Fetzer (lead actor), Cara Despain (production design/additional wardrobe), and Paul Chamberlain (co-producer/actor).
Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts opens the 2012-13 season of its Composer Portraits series with a 100th birthday celebration of the influential composer John Cage, starring International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), Jessica Aszodi, mezzo-soprano, and Steven Schick, conductor. The event will take place tonight, September 20, 2012, at 8:00 PM at the Miller Theatre (2960 Broadway at 116th street). Tickets are $25-30, or $15-$18 for students with valid ID.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today Ang Lee has been added to the roster of its 2012 NYFF HBO Directors Dialogues participants. FSLC also announced the selections for the 16th edition of NYFF's Views From the Avant-Garde, the popular yearly touchstone for experimental film around the world as well as the presentation of filmmaker awards from the Kazuko Trust for the first time. This spring, Goodman Theatre broadens the scope of its Latino Theatre Festival, an event that has introduced more than 160,000 Chicagoans to prominent Latino theater companies around the globe-from Spain to Mexico to Brazil-for the past decade.
