Interrobang Theatre Project is pleased to announce casting for its revival of Craig Wright's darkly funny and deadly serious Broadway hit GRACE, directed by Co-Artistic Director Georgette Verdin. 

At a time where fascist and neo-Nazi movements have made a return across the country, four transgender actors are reviving I Am My Own Wife, the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a trans woman who survived under Nazi and Stasi rule in East Berlin by running an antiques museum. Less a revival and more a 'revisal,' the one-person show has been split up among a dynamic ensemble of four trans and nonbinary performers for a one-night-only reading on Friday, February 23rd at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theater. This unforgettable story of strength and defiance will be followed by a talk back with Doug Wright, the playwright, and the cast.

Edward R. Matthews, CEO of ADAPT Community Network announced its 2018 ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala will take place on Thursday, March 8th at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. Judy Woodruff, Anchor and Managing Editor of the PBS NewsHour will host the event.

Laguna Playhouse has announced the fourth show in the Laguna Playhouse 97th season, I AM MY OWN WIFE, written by Doug Wright and directed by Jenny Sullivan and starring John Tufts.

This season, Interrobang invites audiences to ponder the particularly urgent question: What is Truth?

Joe Chisholm (Regional: The Little Mermaid, My Fair Lady) will join the cast of Midnight Theatricals' production of AFTERGLOW, written and directed by S. Asher Gelman. Mr. Chisholm will take over the role of Alex, originated by  Robbie Simpson, his first performance will be Monday, August 21, 2017.

The Kennedy Center Theater for Young Audiences takes a bold leap in bringing this one man show from Red Bridge Arts in Scotland. Titus, a show recommended for audiences 12 and up tackles serious issues that unfortunately in today's society, children may face.

The Hub Theatre announced their 2017-18 season today. Featuring two World Premieres that resonate mightily in our current climate; and the return of their Inaugural production. Season 10 continues Hub's record of staging intricate, honest and magical plays.

Even after his supposed "death" at Reichenbach Falls, the great detective kept his hold on the world through the frauds, fakes and charlatans claiming to be him, forcing the loyal Dr. Watson to find the truth in Arizona Theatre Company's world premiere of Jeffrey Hatcher's Holmes and Watson.

Directed by Aimee Todoroff and Tonya Pinkins and now in performances at the Gloria Maddox Theatre, Visionary Voices begins with Susan Glaspell's Trifles, followed by Marita Bonner's Exit: An Illusion and ending with Glaspell's The People - three wonderful plays that are more engaging and poignant in their single acts than many full length shows ever have the opportunity of being. All three plays take place at or near the start of the twentieth century, craftily combining themes as relevant today as they were then - collaborating with suspenseful plots, troubled characters and questionable motives that, when put together, show just how clever Todoroff and Pinkins are. In both the structure of this show as a whole and the effect it has on the audience, the truth here is that Visionary Voices is more than a statement - it is definitely a production worth your time.

Light Opera Works presents the Johann Strauss operetta DIE FLEDERMAUS (in English) with a 30-piece orchestra, December 26, 2016- January 1, 2017, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston.

A man enters the space and walks the perimeter of The Kitchen's vast stage. Soon the entire arena will be filled with seven bodies locomoting with the purposeful gait of New Yorkers.
