The Farmington Players are looking for actors for their upcoming play, 'You Can't Take it With You,' a comedy By George S. Kaufman & Moss Hart.

On Friday, November 6th, Lakewood Theatre Company opens the 1939 comedy, The Man Who Came To Dinner by Moss Hart & George S. Kaufman.

In the 1920s, George S. Kaufman was one of the primary reasons New York was firmly establishing itself as the nation's capital of wit. Until his death in 1961, Kaufman could be called the quintessential New Yorker; continually working on Broadway as a playwright and director, reluctantly venturing out to Hollywood on occasion and regretting every moment of it and frequently quoted for his crackling cleverness ('I understand your new play is full of single entendres.').

Brian Dennehy, a leading figure in American theater, renowned for his roles in the plays of Eugene O'Neill, will highlight the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's 10th Annual Eugene O'Neill Celebration, presented this year in collaboration with the Eugene O'Neill Society and Connecticut College and with the support of the Frank Loomis Palmer Fund. Mr. Dennehy is an active member of the Center's Board of Trustees.

The 42nd Street Moon presents Jubilee with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, book by Moss Hart and directed by Greg MacKellan. The show will run from November 25 - December 13 with opening / press night on Saturday, November 28 at 6 pm.

Letters To Daddy, Jr., a contemporary musical that celebrates life through the eyes of a child written and produced by Center Stages' JILL JAYSEN with music and lyrics by MARK SHEPARD and conceived by 4e Productions will be presented as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), Letters to Daddy, Jr. will be presented for two performances only Sunday, October 4th at 1pm and 4pm at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, 248 West 60th Street between Amsterdam and West End Avenue.

In December, the 54-year old theater announced that without immediate philanthropic support, they would be forced to shut down. Now, 10 months later, the theater will be auctioned next Thursday, 10/1.
