TCG Celebrates 2013 World Theatre Day with Book Donation and Delegations to Cuba and Sudan

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre and home of the U.S. Center of the International Theatre Institute (ITI-US), invites all theatres, individual artists, institutions and audiences to celebrate the 51st annual World Theatre Day today, March 27, 2013. Each year, a renowned theatre artist of world stature is invited by ITI Worldwide in Paris to craft an international message to mark the global occasion. This year the message was written by Italian Nobel Prize-winning playwright, director and actor Dario Fo, and has been translated into more than 20 languages to reach tens of thousands in the international theatre community.

New York Wedding Photographer Wins WPPI Grand Award for Album Illustration

New York wedding photographer Roberto Falck was awarded last week the Grand Award and first place award in the informal category when Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) announced the winners of their Awards of Excellence album competition. Both awards are considered a prestigious honor. The albums were judged by some of the world's best photographers around the world at the WPPI Conference and Expo, the largest professional photography trade show in the world. The 'Souls of Morocco' album captures portraits of the people Falck met in his recent travels in the african country.

hotINK at the Lark 2013 Set for 4/17-22

hotINK at the Lark will present seven play readings, written by playwrights who hail from outside of the United States. Each play will be presented once, following an eight to ten hour workshop with a director and actors from the New York theater community. Stage Veteran Garrett Lewis Passes Away at 77

Garrett Lewis, four time Academy Award nominated set decorator, dancer and actor, died Tuesday, January 29 at the age of 77. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1935 and died at his home in Woodland Hills, California of natural causes.
