The Chicago engagement of the national tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has been canceled. The show was originally scheduled to play The Chicago Theatre Feb. 11-15.
The tour's website announces that the engagement was canceled 'due to slower than expected local ticket sales.'
Any tickets that were ordered through Ticketmaster (by phone or on-line) will be credited to the purchaser's credit card account. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster outlets or through The Chicago Theatre's box office must be returned to the original point of purchase.

I Love a Piano runs January 29-February 15, 2009 at Arena at the Lincoln Theatre.

January of 2004 found Micky back on Broadway, co-starring in the Elton John/Tim Rice Tony Award winning musical, 'Aida'. Then, after a short, but exciting, stint as the morning DJ on CBS-FM in The Big Apple, Micky was once again treading the boards in the revival of the Stephen Swartz musical, 'Pippin'.

The Alliance Theatre will host a red carpet event for the Opening Night of the new musical Jesus Christ Superstar GOSPEL.
In attendance will be actor Ben Vereen, nominated for a Tony Award for his portray of Judas in the original Broadway production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Among others, also in attendance will be Grammy-winning country artist Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Earl Klugh (Grammy-winning jazz guitarist and composer) and actress Jasmine Guy. The red carpet arrivals will be hosted by KISS 104.1 FM's Veronica Waters.
After the show, guests will enjoy a reception at Shout Restaurant in Midtown.

Angels, a new musical based on Milton's epic poem, Paradise Lost, will premiere on Broadway during the 2008-9 season. Written by the new Australian team of Ken Lai (book, music and lyrics) and Marcus Cheong (book and lyrics), Angels will feature a cast of 24, including Robert Cuccioli, Jessica Grové and Nicholas Rodriguez, in the leading roles. The musical will be directed by Rich Fowler.
