The 2016 Music Circus season concludes with the Northern California premiere of a new musical from the mind of Victor Hugo, inspired by one of the most epic stories ever told: The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This daring production sets the classic tale of love, vengeance, and compassion to one of the most sweeping scores ever written for the stage. It's the only stage collaboration between two masters of American musical theatre, Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast) and Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin).  BroadwayWorld brings you a first look below!

Rhonda LaChanze Sapp, better known by her stage name LaChanze (Creole: the charmed one), taken from her grandmother, was born in St Augustine, Florida. Grew up in Connecticut, her parents nurtured her love for performing by enrolling her in high schools for the performing arts. After high school, LaChanze studied Drama at Morgan State University, before transferring to the University of the Arts, she studied Theatre and Dance. Her first Summer job was as a tap dancer in the ensemble of out of town tryout of 'Uptown...It's Hot!.' She made her Broadway debut in the same show in 1986.

The NSO Pops and Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke welcome one of the world's premier comedy troupes, The Second City, with renowned improvisational comedian Colin Mochrie, to the Kennedy Center Concert Hall for three performances to open the 2016-17 NSO Pops season, September 15-17, 2016. The Second City Guide to the Symphony is a live performance featuring a blend of original sketch comedy, new music and songs by Matthew Reid, and orchestral works by Mozart, Mahler, Glinka, and more.

Broadway Download, the live, weekly digital radio show, is set to welcome Tony Award-nominee Montego Glover as well as the company directors of Staten Islands' Harbor Lights Theatre Company to its broadcast.

Rumor is Drabinsky, producing via entertainment company StageVentures, has booked Toronto's Elgin Theatre for a new musical based on the 1988 film MADAME SOUSATZKA, which he produced, starring Shirley MacLaine.
