The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice.
Rita Wilson and Molly Ringwald deserve a lot of credit for being gutsy enough to go out of their comfort zones as performers and venture into the intimate, sometimes scary art from known as cabaret, where you're always live and can't rely on extra takes. It's also obvious that they've worked very hard at becoming the best vocalists they can possibly be. They have just as much right to live out their cabaret performing fantasies as, oh, about 75 percent of the 'singers' booking shows in cabaret room all over the New York. If Wilson and Ringwald weren't bold-faced names would their singing really be considered good enough to merit them gigs (and extended ones at that) at the Cafe Carlyle? And if they weren't celebrities, would they be receiving such breathlessly positive reviews from critics, some of who should know better?

After extended runs at 54 Below and Joe's Pub in New York, the show recently made its Los Angeles debut and is back for another performances. A story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel has announced the Cafe Carlyle's fall 2014 season, which features a number of celebrated artists playing the legendary venue for the first time, including Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, Molly Ringwald and Rita Wilson; as well as the return of audience favorites Buster Poindexter, John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey, and Steve Tyrell.
Julian Fleisher, New York City's favorite multi-hyphenate, will return to Joe's Pub this fall in support of his recently released album, Finally. The 10-track album was written and produced by Julian and follows his critically acclaimed Rather Bigalbum. Julian will be mixing material from both of his releases when he hits the stage, once again, at Joe's Pub on September 17. Julian was also asked to host a conversation series with his father, the legendary pianist and Kennedy Center honoree Leon Fleisher at the 92nd St Y this fall. The series includes three intimate conversations with the master, the first taking place on October 26, the second on December 14 and the final conversation will take place on February 8, 2015. The series will explore the elder Fleisher's life and career throug the lens of the music he loves.
