New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW)'s 2014 Spring Gala honored Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff and President of The Dodgers Michael David on Monday night, May 12, at The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel. Both are founding partners of Dodger Properties, which is responsible for over 150 productions of some of the most successful theatre on Broadway (56 Tony Awards), Off-Broadway and internationally. Tony honoree/Grammy nominee Milly Shapiro (Matilda in Matilda) joined with triple threat sister Abigail Shapiro (Cindy Lou Who in Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas) for an unstoppable sister act in their premiere of 'The Shapiro Sisters: Live Out Loud!' at 54 Below.

The Velocity of Autumn is a 90-minute powder keg dark comedy by Eric Coble that stars Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons (Bonnie and Clyde, 'Roseanne') and two-time Tony Award winnerStephen Spinella (Angels in America, Lincoln, '24'), is directed by Molly Smith and opened last night, April 21, 2014 at the Booth Theatre. This season features a slew of stars originating roles, and plenty more making an existing one their own -- but regardless of the breadth of their repertoire, these divas prove they're the top when it comes to getting away with murder in 1920s Chicago, or running a derelict orphanage -- all while hitting their marks night after night.

Broadway Matilda's, Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon, and Milly Shapiro as well as Kerry Ingram (West End Matilda), Carly Paige Baron (Mary Poppins), Colin Critchley (Kinky Boots, Waiting For Godot), Emma Howard (Matilda), Sawyer Nunes (Matilda), Kara Oates (Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot), Julianna Rigoglioso (Mary Poppins, Far From Heaven), Abigail Shapiro (How the Grinch Stole Christmas), Hayden Signoretti (Mary Poppins, Richard III), took part in in Cabaret for a Cause on November 25th. The event was held at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre to raise money for Shifting Shakespeare.

Milly Shapiro, Bailey Ryon, Oona Laurence and Sophia Gennusa, the Tony-winning leading ladies from Broadway's Matilda The Musical, will depart the production within the next two months. The girls revealed in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal that they will be leaving to make room for a new crop of girls- the 'Newtildas'.

The 2013 theatre season brought some truly extraordinary productions, including Matilda, which is still playing at the Shubert Theatre. The musical earned thirteen Tony nominations- taking home five, including a special honor for the four girls playing the title role.

Oliver award winner and original RSC and West End Matilda, Kerry Ingram, joins Broadway kids in Cabaret for a Cause on November 25th, 2013.

Tiffany Schleigh presents Cabaret for a Cause: West End meets Broadway, on November 25th, 7pm at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Olivier award winner Kerry Ingram (Game of Thrones, original Matilda of both the RSC and the West End companies of Matilda) joins a line-up of Broadway performers including Carly Baron (Mary Poppins), Colin Critchley (Waiting for Godot, Kinky Boots), Emma Howard (Matilda), Sawyer Nunes (Matilda), Oona Laurence (Matilda), Kara Oates (Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot), Julianna Rigoglioso (Mary Poppins), Abigail Shapiro (How the Grinch Stole Christmas), Milly Shapiro (Matilda), Hayden Signoretti (Mary Poppins, Richard III), and Jaidyn Young (Annie).

Highlights this week include the Matilda's being drawn at Sardis, A TIME TO KILL, THE LANDING, and FROM HERE TO ETERNITY opening, and a marriage proposal for Allison Case!
