InViolet Repertory Theater presents the World Premiere of THIS IS FICTION by Megan Hart. Richard Masur stars in this dramedy directed by Shelley Butler. Previews begin June 12 at Cherry Lane Studio Theatre. Press opening is set for Saturday, June 15.

Tim McArthur hosts a brand new weekly theatreland chat show, launching on Resonance 104.4fm today, Friday 11 May 2012. The Curtain Up Show will take a light-hearted look at the current state of London theatre, showcasing established and up-and-coming talent, both on stage and behind the scenes.

Following a sell out run at the Traverse Theatre during the 2011 Fringe, A Slow Air, written and directed by David Harrower, arrives at the Tricycle Theatre for a limited run tonight, May 7 to June 2. A Slow Air is being produced by Tron Theatre Company.

The New Group presents the world premiere of An Early History of Fire, a new play by Tony Award-winning playwright David Rabe. Directed by Jo Bonney, this production features Gordon Clapp, Erin Darke, Jonny Orsini, Devin Ratray, Dennis Staroselsky, Theo Stockman and Claire van der Boom. Limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated April 5 - May 26 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). The official Opening Night was Monday, April 30 at 7:00 PM. Following a sell out run at the Traverse Theatre during the 2011 Fringe, A Slow Air, written and directed by David Harrower, will tour to 59E59 Theatres, New York (4-28 April) before arriving at the Tricycle Theatre for a limited run from 7 May to 2 June, with opening night on 10 May. A Slow Air is being produced by Tron Theatre Company.

In 2005 Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Theatres sold his four playhouses, the Lyric, Apollo, Garrick and Duchess theatres to Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer who formed Nimax Theatres Limited, adding the Vaudeville Theatre in 2008. Today Burns and Weitzenhoffer are also the proud owners of the spectacular Palace Theatre with its prime location on Shaftesbury Avenue, currently home to Stage Entertainment's hit revival of Chichester Festival Theatre's Singin' in the Rain.

Zawe Ashton and Alex Beckett join Alison Steadman in Rose Theatre Kingston's revival of Michael Frayn's HERE from 19 April to 12 May. In an exciting change at the Rose, HERE will be performed on a new stage built out into the auditorium bringing the intimacy of Here even closer to the audience.

Due to popular demand, The New Group has announced a two-week extension for Russian Transport, which began previews on January 17 and had an Official Opening Night on January 30.

Rose Theatre Kingston today announced the full cast for its revival of Michael Frayn's Here for a limited run, Thursday 19 April - Saturday 12 May, starring Alison Steadman, Zawe Ashton and Alex Beckett.

Peter Gill, returns to his native city with a portrait of provincial life in 1890s Russia. Based on Chekhov's short story, A Provincial Life follows one young man's struggle to exchange his privileged position for the life of a worker.

Off-Broadway's The New Group honors David Rabe and Nancy Manocherian, founding Artistic Director of the cell theater in Chelsea, at the company's 2012 Gala, hosted by Janeane Garofalo & Morgan Spector. Rabe and Manocherian are recipients of the sixth annual Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater. Founded in 2005, this award recognizes individuals who show outstanding commitment to the theatrical community. Past recipients include Wallace Shawn, Fred Wistow, Robyn Goodman, Ethan Hawke, Ruth and Stephen Hendel, Wendy Ettinger and Derek McLane.

Lily Rabe, who was previously slated to star in the play will no longer be taking part in the production.
