A Red Orchid Theatre to Present ACCIDENTALLY, LIKE A MARTYR in 2015

A Red Orchid Theatre continues its 22nd Season with the Chicago premiere of Accidentally, Like a Martyr, written by Grant James Varjas and directed by Ensemble Member Shade Murray and featuring Ensemble Members Steve Haggard, and Doug Vickers with David Cerda, Layne Manzer, Luce Metrius, Troy West and Dominique Worsley The production runs January 15 - March 1, 2015, at A Red Orchid Theatre, 1531 N. Wells. Press Opening is Monday, January 19, 2015 at 7 p.m.

THE SANTALAND DIARES Opens Tonight at Theater Wit

Fear not fans of subversive holiday entertainment. Theater Wit is re-gifting Chicago with its 11th annual production of The Santaland Diaries, based on David Sedaris' true comic tale of his hilarious stint as one of Santa's elves at Macy's Department Store.

Profiles Theatre's HELLCAB Begins Tonight

Profiles Theatre announces that actor Richard Cotovsky returns to the role of the Driver in Profiles Theatre's holiday season revival of Hellcab by Will Kern. Directed by Profiles ensemble member Eric Burgher, a cast of 34 joins Cotovsky as the beleaguered cab driver, a role he played for over two hundred performances during the world premiere run. Profiles' production runs at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway, tonight, November 7, 2014 - January 11, 2015 with the press opening on Thursday, November 13 at 8:00 pm.

A Red Orchid Theatre opens its 22nd Season with the US premiere of Strandline, written by Abbie Spallen and directed by JR Sullivan (The Faith Healer). The production runs today, October 23 - December 7, 2014 at A Red Orchid Theatre, 1531 N. Wells. Press Opening is Monday, October 27, 2014 at 7 p.m.

Remy Bumppo to Present BOTH YOUR HOUSES, Opening 10/6

In Maxwell Anderson's 1933 political satire Both Your Houses, a straight-laced young congressman's outlandish plan is bound to save Congress from itself! Or is it?Remy Bumppo will present Anderson's Pulitzer Prize winner as the opening production of its 18th season. Press Opening is Monday, October 6 at 7:00 pm at the Greenhouse Theater Center. The production will run throughout the lead-up to the 2014 midterm elections, in which 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 33 seats in the Senate will be up for re-election.

59E59 Theaters welcomed Chicago's A Red Orchid Theatre, in association with Bisno Productions, with the NYC premiere of THE OPPONENT, written by Brett Neveu and directed by Karen Kessler.
