The Tribe invites audiences to the world premiere of OPHELIA UNDERWATER by Janielle Kastner.

In 2015, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained and deported 69,478 individuals residing within the United States. More than 1.76 million residents of the United States were brought here as undocumented youth, immigrant children who attend school here, work here, and pay taxes here, but whose existence here is considered illegal. While this is a frightening setting for those living with the constant fear of deportation and divided families, this existence hardly registers with the charismatic politician Dale Jenkins, a principal character in David Lozano and Lee Trull's collaborative, political play, Deferred Action.

A co-production with Cara Mia Theatre Co. and directed by Cara Mia's Artistic Director David Lozano, DEFERRED ACTION features company members from both DTC and Cara Mia. Second Thought Theatre follows acclaimed production of Martyr with THE GREAT GOD PAN as the second show of its 2016 season, beginning today. Carson McCain makes her STT directorial debut with this play by Amy Herzog, opening tonight, and running through May 14. Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty announced today the theater's 2016-2017 season including two world-premiere musicals titled Bella: An American Tall Tale by Kirsten Childs, the co-lyricist of FLY; and the world-premiere musical Hood, a fresh take on Robin Hood by Douglas Carter Beane and Lewis Flinn. Also included in the 2016-2017 season are two of The New York Times Best Theater picks of 2015, Constellations and The Christians; the classic historical drama, Inherit The Wind; a reimagined Greek tragedy, Electra; the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol; and an exciting new work with a title to be announced. DTC's 2016-2017 season includes productions in the Potter Rose Performance Hall and the Studio Theatre at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center and the Kalita Humphreys Theater on Turtle Creek.

New Wave storms the Young Vic next month in an anarchic world premiere conceived by Jane Horrocks and Aletta Collins. Horrocks, star of LITTLE VOICE, performs with a live band and company of dancers directed and choreographed by Collins, who was responsible for Bend It Like Beckham's choreography and music staging. IF YOU KISS ME, KISS ME, which conjures the rebel spirit, disillusionment and messy relationships of the UK's 1970s-80s music scene, hits the Young Vic's main house on March 10 and opens on March 16, running until April 16.

Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that Ryan Gosling's directorial debut film, 'Lost River,' will open April 10 for a theatrical run in New York and Los Angeles and will also be available same day via national digital release in the U.S. This news comes the same day as the announcement of the film's North American premiere being part of the SXSW Film Festival, running March 13 - 21 in Austin Texas. The announcement was made today by Sue Kroll, President of Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, and Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.
