The Only Official Oscars Opening Ceremony Coverage With Exclusive Access to the Red Carpet in Final Hour Leading Up to Award Show.

The ABC Television Network and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today “Oscars Opening Ceremony: Live From The Red Carpet,” the ultimate red carpet event and highly anticipated lead-in to the live telecast of the 90th Oscars hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday, March 4. This 90-minute special, hosted by “Good Morning America” co-anchor Michael Strahan, star of ABC's “The Goldbergs” Wendi McLendon-Covey, “The View” co-host Sara Haines, Vanity Fair executive West Coast editor Krista Smith and IMDb special correspondent Dave Karger begins at 6:30 p.m. EST/3:30 p.m. PST on The ABC Television Network and is the only official red carpet event. Additionally, from 7:00–8:00 p.m. EST (4:00–5:00 p.m. PST), ABC is the only telecast broadcasting live exclusively from the red carpet.
