On Thursday, March 1, 2018, the 14th Street Y hosted its 2018 PURIM Gala at Cipriani, 25 Broadway, NYC, raising more than $355,00. Proceeds from the Gala help to advance the 14th Street Y's mission as a hub of creativity, community programming, and Jewish culture in downtown Manhattan, providing scholarships, developing enrichment programs, and enhancing the lives of more than 26,000 people who walk through the doors each year.

Festival Napa Valley announces the lineup for the 2018 summer season, featuring a host of world premieres, debuts and exclusive engagements set in iconic Napa Valley settings. The 2018 season, July 20-29, is dedicated to the first responders who saved lives, homes and properties in the recent Wine Country wildfires.

The 14th Street Y is a vibrant community center grounded in the belief that contemporary Jewish sensibilities can be a source of inspiration, connection, and learning for the individuals and families we serve throughout New York City's East Village and beyond. STRIKE UP THE BAND! StarStruck Theatre in Stuart marches into its professional series production of Meredith Wilson's Tony Award winning musical THE MUSIC MAN, January 26 - February 4, 2018.  

The second annual Youth Music Culture Guangdong (YMCG) drew to a close on January 19th with a six-hour marathon concert 'from Beethoven to the Unexpected.' Young musicians performed a total of 30 works, including chamber music and improvisation performances. The marathon's culminating masterpiece was Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 ('Eroica') under the baton of Music Director Michael Stern with faculty, including Artistic Director Yo-Yo Ma, at the back of their respective sections.

Anne Akiko Meyers' recording of Einojuhani Rautavaara's 'Fantasia,' written for Ms. Meyers, was featured with works by superstars including Jay Z, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Willie Nelson. It was the only classical solo instrumental work featured in the annual list. Grammy-winning classical guitarist Jason Vieaux is currently Caramoor's Artist-in-Residence, and will be performing two more concerts in July at the popular bucolic musical destination. On Sunday, July 16 at 4pm, he joins the Orchestra of St. Luke's to perform iconic tango composer Astor Piazzolla's Four Seasons of Buenos Aires with bandoneonist Julien Labro, a piece which he and Labro recorded in 2011 for Azica Records. Vieaux will also perform Vivaldi's beloved Guitar Concerto in D Major with the orchestra. Vivaldi's Four Seasons featuring violin soloist Krista Bennion Feeney completes the program.
