Mike Bartlett's hit play COCK will complete its critically acclaimed limited run tonight, Saturday, October 6 at 8pm.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) begins accepting entries today, Wednesday, October 3, for its popular LIVEforFIVE online lottery for $5 tickets to the New York premiere of THE WHALE, a new play by Obie Award winner Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise), directed by Davis McCallum (February House, A Bright New Boise, the upcoming Water By the Spoonful at Second Stage). Due to the overwhelming response to Playwrights Horizons' 2012/2013 season, all productions are now playing longer runs to accommodate the larger subscription base. The limited engagement of THE WHALE, originally announced through Sunday, November 18, will now play through Sunday, December 2.

Actress Debi Mazar and husband Gabriele Corcos, return to Cooking Channel for the third season of food, family and friends in EXTRA VIRGIN, premiering Wednesday, November 7th at 9:30pm ET/6:30pm PT.

Previews begin Friday, October 12 for the Playwrights Horizons' production of THE WHALE, the New York premiere of a new play by Obie Award winner Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise). Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton added his voice to the 2012 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 14, singing an original song called 'A Perez Hilton Christmas,' with music by Lynn Pinto & Jason Michael Webb, and lyrics by George Howe & Frances Limoncelli. Perez Hilton is making his New York stage debut in the comical off-Broadway revue "NEWSical the Musical."

As part of its 80th season celebration, Bergen County Players (BCP) will present Neil Simon's FOOLS, a 'light, frothy, fairy tale for adults featuring Simon's brilliant use of vaudeville, slapstick, puns and wordplay.' Under the direction of Iris Weinhouse, FOOLS will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from October 20th through November 10th at The Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell, NJ. Shows will be on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $20 on Friday and Saturday and $16 on Sunday.

Looking ahead to winter, David T. Little's evening-length multi-media music-theatre work, Soldier Songs (2006), receives its New York City premiere as part of BMP and HERE's inaugural PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/Now festival January 11-13 + 16-18, 2013, showcasing pioneering work by a new generation of opera-theatre and music-theatre composers. Created and composed by Little, Soldier Songs is based on recorded interviews with veterans of five wars, with a libretto adapted by the composer.
