The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open its 38th theater season with the musical Memphis directed by Rod A. Lansberry, tonight, September 9. Memphis is written by Joe DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and All Shook Up) and features music and lyrics by Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan Performances are Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., through September 28.

A New York-style cabaret evening of Broadway melodies and jazz standards sung by some of the Denver area's most promising young talents, Jessica Gabrielle Hayoun and Chanel Karimkhani, along with special guest Barret Harper, will be the featured fare at three local clubs on August 18, 21 and 24.

In this week's episode of 'In Focus', host Eden Lane gets in the holiday spirit at the Arvada Center with 'A Christmas Carol, The Musical.' Going behind the scenes, Eden takes viewers to rehearsal to meet the creative team as well as the star of the show - Scrooge himself. The Arvada Center will open A Christmas Carol, The Musical directed by Gavin Mayer on Tuesday, November 26 at 7:30 p.m. This Broadway rendition of a family holiday favorite will run through December 22 in the Main Stage Theater. Previews are November 22 - 24 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Please note: There will not be a performance on Thursday, November 28 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. An additional performance has been added on Sunday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m. Talkbacks will be offered Friday, December 6 after the 7:30 p.m. show and Wednesday, December 11 after the 1:00 p.m. show. Adult ticket prices start at $53, and children's tickets are half price. The Arvada Center Artistic Producer Rod A. Lansberry and show director Gavin Mayer have announced the cast for A Christmas Carol, The Musical by Mike Ockrent & Lynn Ahrens. This big Broadway rendition of the familiar Dickens classic will run in the Main Stage Theater November 26 - December 22, 2013.

I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE playing the Garner Galleria Theatre will close on October 14 with Denver's favorite fast-talking Tupperware lady returning just in time for the holidays.
