Atlantic Records and Dear Evan Hansen producer Stacey Mindich announced today that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical Dear Evan Hansen will be released on Atlantic Records this winter.

Dear Evan Hansen, the new musical with a book by Obie Award-winner Steven Levenson, score by Tony Award nominees Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, and direction by three-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif, just began performances on Broadway last night, November 14, at the Music Box Theatre (239 W 45th St). Dear Evan Hansen will officially open on Sunday, December 4, 2016.

The Broadway premiere of the new musical Dear Evan Hansen has found a new home: it will officially open at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th St), and not at the Belasco Theatre, as previously announced.

What a remarkable age this is! The five-time Tony Award-winning 'TitanicThe Musical' sets sail for the Moonlight Amphitheatre from Aug. 17, 2016 to Sept. 3, 2016 at 8 p.m. The production made port on the Broadway stage in March 1997 and won five Tony Awards that same year, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Scenic Design and Best Orchestrations. The musical 'Titanic' is a factual story, a far cry from James Cameron's film, that examines the causes, conditions and characters involved in this ever-fascinating drama, and honors the lives lost on the fateful journey. Tickets are $10 to $55 and general lawn admission is $8 to $20 and includes a lawn chair provided at entry. Lonely introverts like the title character of the Broadway bound DEAR EVAN HANSEN are not often found at the center of musical, but in past projects like their scores for DOGFIGHT and A CHRISTMAS STORY, composer/lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul have shown a keen ability to write songs that get to the hearts of characters.

The concert presentation might have wrapped up last night, but that doesn't mean it's the end of Ragtime. Event presenter Suzanne Friedman has an eye towards an immersive, full production of the acclaimed American musical on Ellis Island in 2017.

Ellis Island got a little more Broadway last night, as Ragtime was presented in an  invitation-only, one-night-only event, narrated by two-time Tony Award winner and original Ragtime Broadway cast member Brian Stokes Mitchell. The concert starred  two-time Tony Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Shuffle Along, Motown) as Coalhouse Walker Jr., Olivier Award winner Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland, Mary Poppins) as Mother, Emmy Award winner Michael Park(Dear Evan Hansen, Tuck Everlasting) as Father, acclaimed stage and television star Andy Mientus (Spring Awakening, Les Miserables) as Younger Brother, Shaina Taub (Hadestown, Old Hats) as Emma Goldman, Aisha Jackson (Waitress, Beautiful) as Sarah, and Robert Petkoff (All The Way,Ragtime) reprising his 2009 Broadway revival role of Tateh.
