The Directors Announce Cast and Creative Team for JUNIOR CLAUS at Burnsville PAC

With rehearsals set to launch in November, 'JUNIOR CLAUS' has a star-filled stage to match the midnight holiday skies. The Directors has announced the casting and creative team for the stage spectacular arriving from New York to the Twin Cities South Metro for an exclusive run this December 2009.

BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop Announces SPRING SMOKER Showcase 4/30

The Tony® Honored BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop announces its Spring Smoker, a semi-annual showcase for new songs from Workshop writers. A dozen bright young stars along with renowned voices of musical theatre will come together for the La Red Launch Party, a celebration and kickoff event on Tuesday, April 14 at the Laurie Beechman Theater at 6:00 pm. The event will benefit La Red Music Theatre's first full summer season in residence in Highland Park, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago.

Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project Deadline 4/13, Intensive Held 6/21-6/27

The April 13 application deadline for the 4th annual Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project is fast approaching. The no-fee, weeklong songwriting intensive, presented by The Johnny Mercer Foundation and the American Music Theatre Project and led by award-winning artists Craig Carnelia, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Lari White, will be held June 21 - 27 on the campus of Northwestern University just outside of Chicago.

The fifth season of the acclaimed Monday Nights, New Voices series Continues March 30th at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Legally Blonde's Kate Shindle, who will return to Birdland for her solo show, classic, March 23rd, will host the evening featuring the talents of Mathew Burrow, Natalie Elise Hall, Darius Harper, Danny McNie and Amy Toporek. Show time is 7 PM.

CAP21 Announces 'SOS: Songs On Six' Benefit Concert March 23

THE THEATRE COMPANY @ CAP21 presents a benefit concert of new songs from new musicals. The concert will take place Monday, March 23rd at 7:30pm at CAP21 located on the 6th Floor of 18 West 18th Street, NYC. Tickets are $30 and include a post-show wine reception with the writers and performers. The evening is being directed by Ryan Mekenian with musical direction by J. Oconer Navarro. Proceeds will benefit the New Works program at CAP21.

Zachary & Weiner in Concert at The Kennedy Center: Watch Online Now

arlier this month, Alan Zachary & Michael Weiner joined in a week-long celebration at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. of the 'Next Generation of Broadway Songwriters' by performing an hour-long concert of their songs, joined by Megan Hilty (star of Broadway's Wicked and 9 to 5). The concert is now available to watch online.
