Arizona Theatre Company Presents XANADU at Herberger Theatre, Now thru 1/19

Arizona Theatre Company brings the tongue-in-cheek, award-winning hit Broadway musical Xanadu to the Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Ave., in Tucson from Nov. 30 - Dec. 31 and the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe, in Phoenix from tonight, Dec. 31 - Jan. 19.

Erin Driscoll, James Gardiner & Kevin McAllister Set to Lead VIOLET at Ford's Theatre

The Ford's Theatre 2013-2014 season continues with the musical Violet, directed and choreographed by Jeff Calhoun (Broadway'sNewsies), January 24-February 23, 2014. Violet features a dynamic score of bluegrass, gospel, country and rock music by four-time Tony Award-nominated composer Jeanine Tesori (the recent Fun Home; Broadway's Caroline, or Change;Thoroughly Modern Millie; Shrek the Musical). The Ford's production stars a first-class Washington cast led by Erin Driscoll in the title role.

National Tour of C.S. Lewis' THE GREAT DIVORCE Headed to Charlotte, 2/15-16

Max McLean, Artistic Director of Fellowship for the Performing Arts, announces that C.S. Lewis' THE GREAT DIVORCE will be presented at The Knight Theater, Levine Center for the Arts, 430 South Tryon Street, for three performances only on Saturday, February 15 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, February 16 at 3 p.m. This journey to Heaven and Hell is a provocative exploration of human nature, featuring vivid characters drawn with Lewis' trademark wit. THE GREAT DIVORCE National Tour will visit cities including Cleveland, Nashville, Colorado Springs and Columbus in 2014.

Bob O'Hare's Encore Presentation of RECOVERY Adds Additional Shows at Don't Tell Mama, 1/26 & 2/10

ERIC Michael GillETT will present BOB O'HARE in an encore performance of Recovery: A Show About Getting Better on December 22, 7pm with with the Tom Nelson Trio (Tom Nelson, Musical Director and Piano; Tom Kirchmer, Bass;Peter Grant, Drums) at Don't Tell Mama. Today, it was announced that additional performances have been added for Jan. 26 and Feb. 10. THE GREAT DIVORCE National Tour kicks off in Phoenix in December and will visit cities including Kansas City, Charlotte, Charleston, Cleveland, Nashville, Colorado Springs, and Columbus in 2014.

World Premiere of Barry Germansky's FOLLOW THE TRACKS WE FORGOT TO FINISH to Open Off-Broadway at Shetler Studios, 12/12

Conor Romero ('The Michael J. Fox Show') & Barry Germansky present the world premiere of FOLLOW THE TRACKS WE FORGOT TO FINISH - a satiric new play set on a stalled subway train deep underground - directed by Paul Dervis (Israel Horovitz's FREE GIFT, David Mamet's EDMOND). Preview performances of FOLLOW THE TRACKS WE FORGOT TO FINISH begin December 11 prior to an official press opening of December 12 at Shetler Studios (244 West 54th Street, PH1 theatre) in Manhattan.

Williamstown Theatre Festival honored Award-winning director and frequent WTF collaborator Scott Ellis, at last night's benefit at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. The evening was hosted by Julie White, who won a Tony Award for her performance in the Ellis-helmed production of The Little Dog Laughed, and included appearances by Tony Award-winners Chita Rivera, Susan Stroman, Rupert Holmes and more.
