Photo Coverage: First look at Little Theatre Off Broadway's NOISES OFF

Each of the three acts of Noises Off contains a performance of the first act of a play within a play, a sex farce called Nothing On. Much of the comedy emerges from the subtle variations in each version as character flaws play off each other off-stage to undermine on-stage performance, with a great deal of slapstick. The contrast between players' on-stage and off-stage personalities is also a source of comic dissonance. Performances run September 15th thru October 1st, 2017 at Little Theatre Off Broadway, 3981 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. For reservations/more info visit: http://www.ltob.org or call 614-875-3919

NOISES OFF To Kick Off Stageworks Theatre's 2017-2018 Season!

Stageworks Theatre is thrilled to announce its first show of the new season, Noises Off, by Michael Frayn, directed by Sean Thompson. The show will run August 25 through September 17, 2017 on Stageworks Theatre's Garza Mainstage. Written by English playwright Michael Frayne, Noises Off has been hailed as 'the funniest farce ever written.' It presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a theatre flop called Nothing's On. On and offstage intrigue and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classical comedy.

BWW Review: NOISES OFF at CHAUTAUQUA THEATER COMPANY

There can be great comedy in repetition. Allowing an audience to think they know what is coming next but slipping in an unexpected variation on a theme can throw you for a comedic loop. This premise is the basis for Michael Frayn's rioutously successful 1982 farce, NOISES OFF. The Chautauqua Theater Company is mounting a joyous production in their Bratton Theater that has theatre goers giddy with the onstage silliness.
