Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) is proud to announce the first production of its 2009-2010 season, the world premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's play OOHRAH!, directed by Evan Cabnet. The production will feature Cassie Beck, Sami Gayle, Darren Goldstein, J.R. Horne, Jennifer Mudge, Lucas Near-Verbrugghe and Maximilian Osinski.

Long Wharf Theatre's Education Department will be staging a production of original pieces created by residents of New Haven's Tower One/Tower East, on Long Wharf Theatre's Stage II on Monday, August 24 at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Warren's Profession starred Michael Cristofer, Tyne Daly, Sean Dugan, Xanthe Elbrick, George S. Irving, Brian Murray, and narrator Howard Kissel, with guest host from NEWSWEEK: JEREMY McCARTER. The title of Tony Kushner's new play is inspired by two 19th-century thinkers and their works -- George Bernard Shaw's The Intelligent Woman's Guide to Socialism and Capitalism and Mary Baker Eddy's Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

Guthrie Director Joe Dowling today announced the complete cast and creative team for the theater's world premiere commission of The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, under the direction of Tony- and Drama Desk-nominated Michael Greif (Broadway: Next to Normal, Rent, Grey Gardens). Performances begin May 15, with an official press opening on May 22, and continue through June 28 on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Atlantic Theater Company announces complete casting for the world premiere of Leslie Ayvazian's new comedy MAKE ME, directed by Atlantic Associate Artistic Director Christian Parker. Broadway veterans Anthony Arkin (I'm Not Rappaport); Candy Buckley (After The Fall); Jessica Hecht (Julius Caesar); J.R. Horne (The Crucible); Richard Masur (Democracy) and Ellen Parker (The Heidi Chronicles) will star in Atlantic's final production of its 2008-2009 season, beginning previews at Atlantic Stage 2 on May 19 and opening May 31. Playwright and screenwriter Ayvazian's hit Off-Broadway play Nine Armenians won the Kennedy Center's Roger L. Stevens Award, the John Gassner Outer Critics Award and the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.
