truTV has greenlit six new series, part of a new wave of programming on tap as the network embarks on an extensive brand evolution.

What happens when you combine a mind-blowing magician with an insatiable practical joker? truTV has the answer in magician/prankster Michael Carbonaro, star of the brand new series 'The Carbonaro Effect,' premiering Thursday, May 15th at 10pm ET/PT. The new 12-episode and hilarious series follows Carbonaro as he tricks, amazes and amuses the unsuspecting public.

truTV has given the greenlight to its first-ever sketch-comedy series: Friends of the People.

Production has begun on truTV's brand new series The Carbonaro Effect, starring comic magician Michael Carbonaro.

truTV has greenlit The Safecrakers a new unscripted series as the network continues to shape its evolving original programming lineup. The Safecrackers, which comes to truTV from American Chainsaws Entertainment, will introduce viewers to a pair of Alabama locksmiths who specialize in opening even the toughest of vaults.

Due to a new filming conflict, Michael Carbonaro, has had to step down from the role of host for the annual 'It's Magic!' show. However, Producers Milt Larsen and Terry Hill are very fortunate to have been able to secure Tony Award winning ventriloquist Jay Johnson as his replacement to perform in and host the show.

However, Producers Milt Larsen and Terry Hill are very fortunate to have been able to secure Tony Award winning ventriloquist Jay Johnson as his replacement to perform in and host the show.

Milt Larsen, along with Terry Hill, is currently executive producing 'It's Magic!' (itsmagicshow.com) now in its 56th year. A tradition for magic buffs and slight of hand fans, the show has been seen regularly throughout the USA including Hawaii, Washington, California, Arizona and Connecticut. The upcoming production will be appearing at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Center on Saturday, November 30th at 7:00 pm and will be hosted by Michael Carbonaro.

Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch's Cast Party has officially proven to be a bi-coastally success with its West Coast premiere on Thursday, April 1st at the world famous Magic Castle's highly popular Cabaret at the Castle. The Extreme Open Mic that has become a Broadway mainstay was as equally well packed with Hollywood elite, some of which took their turn at the mic. The witty and charming Caruso took charge of the stage, while the musical genius of Billy Stritch brought brilliant music to the ears of patrons and performers alike.
