TheatreWorks Silicon Valley kicks off its 2015/2016 season with the World Premiere of Triangle, a new musical with music by Curtis Moore, lyrics by Thomas Mizer, and book by Moore, Mizer, and Joshua Scher, originally developed at the company's 2012 New Works Festival. Triangle is directed by Meredith McDonough, with performances now through August 2 at the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. The Book Club Play begins previews tonight, January 1, 2015 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance and runs through Sunday, February 1.

PlayPenn, Philadelphia's nationally recognized professional new play development organization, announces the directors, dramaturgs, actors and designers that will participate in its 10th annual New Play Development Conference. Held from July 6 - July 27 at the Adrienne Theater (2030 Sansom Street) in Philadelphia, the Conference includes three weeks of intensive work along with staged readings open to the public of six new plays.

Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty announced today the theater's 2014-2015 season, which will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center and the Kalita Humphreys Theater on Turtle Creek. DTC's 2014-2015 season will expand to nine total productions from this year's seven, and will include the world premiere new musical Stagger Lee, a commissioned musical by DTC Playwright-in-Residence Will Power and Justin Ellington, a rolling world premiere production of Colossal, a new play about football by Andrew Hinderaker, and the return to the stage of June Squibb for the first time since her Academy Award-nomination.
