In its 23rd incarnation, the Kennedy Center Spring Gala was a triumph. This year's edition of the Gala — titled “It Don't Mean a Thing…” — paid homage to the big-band music, extraordinary tunes, and iconic dancing of the Swing Era.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was thrilled to present singer/songwriter Brian Gallagher in a concert celebrating the release of his new CD, 'All That's Ahead.' Brian's special guest was Broadway and television star Megan Hilty, who happens to be his wife! Scroll down for photos!

To celebrate the release of his debut solo album ALL THAT'S AHEAD, Brian Gallagher performed an intimate set in Birdland's ongoing Broadway at Birdland concert series on Monday, April 27. Joined by Megan Hilty, he and his robustly talented band brought music from the album to dazzling life. With exuberance and a down-to-earth, geeky charm, Gallagher truly rocked the packed-to-capacity audience.

Tony-nominated songwriters Justin Paul and Benj Pasek and playwright Timothy Allen McDonald will release the highly anticipated ultimate cast recording for Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach on Tuesday, April 21. The album features a previously unannounced special guest track by Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening, "Pitch Perfect").

Having garnered acclaim for performances on stage and screen, Megan Hilty makes her return to Cafe Carlyle in a two-week engagement, May 19-30. In Songs For My Daughter, Hilty will perform the classics that shaped her childhood and which she'll pass on to her recently-born daughter. Of her previous engagement at the Cafe, Stephen Holden of The New York Times exclaimed, 'Ms. Hilty projected the attitude of a frisky, fun-loving gal... she reveled in the pleasure of as big and loud a sound as she could muster.' Hilty will be joined by Music Director Matt Cusson on piano, Brian Gallagher on guitar, Ryan Hoagland on percussion and Dennis Keefe on bass.
