WORKSHOP THEATER COMPANY in conjunction with JEM THEATRICALS is presenting the world premiere production of MY MOM IS TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE, a new family musical comedy. The musical, with book by Kate Feiffer and MJ Bruder Munafo, music by Paul Jacobs, lyrics by Sarah Durkee, is based on the acclaimed picture book MY MOM IS TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE, by Kate Feiffer with illustrations by Diane Goode (Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books). The musical will be directed by Debbi Katz and choreographed by Danyelle Demchock of the Young Performers Dance Academy. MY MOM IS TRYING TO RUIN MY LIFE will play a four-week limited engagement at the WorkShop Theater (312 West 36th Street). Performances begin today, February 16 at 12 pm and continue through Sunday, March 10 at 3 pm. Press are invited to all performances.

According to Classic Rock Magazine, Monty Python's Terry Jones is collaborating with composer and lyricist Jim Steinman on a musical adaptation of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite, called Nutcracked. Jones said he is hoping for a Christmas 2013 opening in New York.

CHESS and ALICE included - in addition to all about his upcoming concert appearance on November 23 at the Gramercy Theatre. Additionally, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter also expounded upon his career thus far and we took a look back at some of his favorite scores and composers, as well as the individuals to have the most impact on him and how that has played out in both his theatre and recording career. Meat Loaf Postpones 11/1 Concert at The Beacon Theatre

Due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and the subsequent transportation shutdown, the Meat Loaf concert scheduled for Thursday, November 1 at the Beacon Theatre has been postponed. Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets as we work to reschedule the show. An announcement about a new date will be forthcoming.
