LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, a new musical based on the beloved Laura Ingalls Wilder series of classic American books, will open October 27, 2009 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center as part of the HCA/TriStar Broadway at TPAC series.

Goodman Theatre will present the Chicago premiere of Dael Orlandersmith's Stoop Stories, September 12 - October 11, 2009 the Goodman's 400-seat flexible Owen Bruner Theatre. Tickets are $10 - $40 and go on sale Friday, August 7 at GoodmanTheatre.org.

SAN DIEGO REPERTORY THEATRE kicks off the 2009-2010 Season with the whirlwind musical LONG STORY SHORT - written by Brendan Milburn and Valarie Vigoda of the band Groovelily - tonight, October 9th after a week of previews that began on October 3rd. SLEEPING BEAUTY WAKES, which unfolds entirely through song, reunites GrooveLily with Tony Award-winning librettist Rachel Sheinkin, perhaps best known for her book to The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. They previously collaborated on the inventive holiday tale STRIKING 12(inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Match Girl), which came to Edison Theatre in 2007.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced complete casting today for the world premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's THE BROTHER/SISTER PLAYS PART 1 & PART 2. McCraney, one of America's most acclaimed young writers, returns to The Public to complete his trilogy following the success of The Brothers Size in 2007. Tina Landau will direct In The Red and Brown Water and Robert O'Hara will direct The Brothers Size and Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet.

Dael Orlandersmith takes Chicago audiences on an electrifying journey through the spirit and soul of Harlem in her explosive solo piece Stoop Stories at Goodman Theatre.
