COMEDY OF ERRORS, GOD'S EAR and More Set for Actors' Shakespeare Project's 2014-15 Season

Jennifer Ellis Joins the Cast of SpeakEasy's FAR FROM HEAVEN, Running 9/12-10/11

SpeakEasy Stage Company Producing Artistic Director Paul Daigneault announced today that Boston actress Jennifer Ellis will assume the role of Cathy Whitaker in the company's upcoming New England Premiere production of FAR FROM HEAVEN, running September 12 to October 11 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.

INTO THE WOODS Extends Through June 29 at The Lyric Stage

Due to unanimous critical and audience acclaim, INTO THE WOODS has been extended through June 29, with performances Wednesdays & Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 3pm & 8pm, Sundays at 3pm. This is the FINAL possible extension due to the start of our summer teen program, Lyric First Stage.

Actors' Shakespeare Project (ASP) will open its 10th Anniversary Season with a new production of Shakespeare's universal and timeless love story Romeo & Juliet October 2 - November 3, 2013 (press performance October 5 at 8pm) at The Strand Theatre, 543 Columbia Road in Dorchester. Co-directed by ASP Resident Acting Company member Bobbie Steinbach and ASP Artistic Director Allyn Burrows, Romeo & Juliet will focus on fate of the two young lovers as it rests on the dramatic intersection of intransigence, revenge, and the clash of generations.

From stem to stern, the crew of Lyric Stage Company's ON THE TOWN serves up a boatload of thrills. Leonard Bernstein's glorious score, book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and Jerome Robbins' idea fuse into a terrific voyage to end the season. Director Spiro Veloudos, Choreographer Ilyse Robbins, Music Director Jonathan Goldberg, a creative design team, and a shipshape ensemble put on one helluva show.

Boston Theater Critics Association Announces 2013 Elliot Norton Awards Nominations

The Boston Theater Critics Association has announced its nominations for the 31st Annual Elliot Norton Awards. The awards, which recognize excellence in Greater Boston theater, will be presented on Monday, May 13, at 7 p.m. at the Paramount Mainstage, 559 Washington Street, Boston.
