MATILDA THE MUSICAL, produced by The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, will begin previews on Monday March 4 and open on April 11, 2013 at Broadway's Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street).
RSC Artistic Director, Gregory Doran, and Executive Director, Catherine Mallyon, make their first announcement as leaders of the RSC, outlining plans for the Company's Winter 2013 season and their ambitions for the Company. The Winter Season is the first drawn up by Gregory, following a summer of shows programmed by his predecessor, Michael Boyd.

The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers today announced the casting of the principal roles and the ensemble in the eagerly anticipated Broadway-bound musical MATILDA THE MUSICAL. They are (alphabetically): Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps), Gabriel Ebert (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs. Wormwood), and Lauren Ward (Miss Honey).
Little Grey Cells in association with Mercury Theatre Colchester present Tu I Teraz (Here & Now). Tu I Teraz, written by Nicola Werenowska and directed by Sam Potter will run at The Hampstead Theatre Downstairs from tonight, 18 December to 19 January, with press night on 20 December. Tu I Teraz has set design by Kerry Bradley, lighting by Matt O'Leary and sound by Steve Mayo, and the cast is Ania Sowinski (Marysia), Anna Elijasz (Ana) and George Lasha (Janusz).
The smash hit West End musical GHOST the Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film, is to tour throughout the UK opening at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff in April 2013. GHOST the Musical is directed by the Tony award winning Matthew Warchus (Matilda, Art) and has music and lyrics by Grammy® award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard and features the iconic song Unchained Melody. Set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, illusions are by Paul Kieve, choreography is by Ashley Wallen, video and projection designs by Jon Driscoll, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and sound by Bobby Aitken. The UK tour is being produced by David Ian Productions, The Ambassador Theatre Group, Colin Ingram, and Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle. Full casting for the tour will be announced later this year.

Suggs and Madness saxophonist Lee Thompson led the sell-out audience at the 10th anniversary charity gala performance of OUR HOUSE in an impromptu singalong of their greatest hits last night. It brought the curtain down at the Savoy Theatre on a night that saw many original cast members both in the production and on stage in the show in a fundraiser for the Help for Heroes Charity. The producers of Roald Dahl's MATILDA THE MUSICAL announced today that Olivier Award-winner Bertie Carvel will reprise the role of Miss Trunchbull in the Broadway production of the Royal Shakespeare Company's eagerly anticipated musical which begins performances on March 4 and opens on April 11 at the Shubert Theatre (235 West 44th Street). Carvel received rave reviews for his iconic performance and won the 2012 Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
The Lantern Theatre Presents Can't Stand Up for Falling Down by Richard Cameron and featuring Laura Hobson, Carla Harrison-Hodge and Samantha Robinson, under the direction of Ruth Carney, with sound design by Andrew Griffiths. The show will run tonight, 23 - 27 October, with press night set for tonight, 23 October at 8pm.
