Audience is enthralled with BSO again featuring the musical HAIRSPRAY

Peninsula Players Theatre, America's Oldest Professional Resident Summer Theatre and Door County's theatrical icon, announces company members for its 81st season, running June 14 through October 16, 2016. The mix of plays include a late-in-life romance, an intriguing whodunit, a raucous pop-rock musical, an engaging Midwest premiere and a wildly comic thriller.

The latest play from French sensation Florian Zeller just finished its run at Menier Chocolate Factory and will now transfer to Wyndham's Theatre in the West End, beginning June 22nd, according to the Daily Mail. 

Olivier Award-winning writing duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe today announce the winners of their newly-expanded Stiles and Drewe Prize 2016. Now in its 9th year, the Stiles + Drewe Prize for Best New Song is joined by their first-ever Mentorship Award, supported by Music Theatre International (Europe).

Ahead of their 25th anniversary next year, Birmingham Stage Company today announces Horrible Histories - The Best of Barmy Britain! This special production marks Barmy Britain's 5th anniversary in the West End, holding its position as the longest running children's show in West End history. This special instalment of Barmy Britain follows the sell-out successes of Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain - Parts One, Two and Three and will feature the horribly best bits from all three productions.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) is bringing its unique brand of Broadway master class intensives to Russia, marking the first time in the country's history that Broadway professionals will offer programming of this kind. The renowned non-profit performing arts education organization is traveling a team of Broadway professionals to Moscow to offer a 10-day program for 60 professional and aspiring Russian performers, now through tomorrow, April 19, 2016. I have long been a fan of plays that present an insider's look at what goes on behind-the-scenes at a theatrical production. A fine example of such a backstage farce is Sarah Ruhl's STAGE KISS, skillfully directed by Bart DeLorenzo who knows exactly how to make the most outrageous stage antics and romances seem not only probable but incredibly hysterical thanks to Sarah Ruhl's fast-paced script that leads us on-stage, back-stage and out the stage door as reality collides with fiction in this raucous and revealing relationship comedy.

The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye reports that Bryan Dick has withdrawn from Chichester Festival's upcoming production of HALF A SIXPENCE, adapted by DOWNTON ABBEY creator Julian Fellowes, and will instead remain with the company of HOBSON'S CHOICE for its upcoming West End run.

Marking the One Hundredth anniversary of the first UK production of this classic comedy, HOBSON'S CHOICEwill play at London's Vaudeville Theatre for a limited season, Wednesday 8th June - Saturday 10th September.
