Juilliard Dance Presents NEW DANCES PLUS: EDITION 2013 Tonight

Juilliard Dance, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, presents New Dances PLUS: Edition 2013 from tonight, December 11-15, 2013featuring Juilliard alumna Pina Bausch's Wind von West (Wind from the West) performed by 4th-Year Dancers, plus three world premiere commissions created for each of the classes of Juilliard's Dance Division.

Juilliard Dance, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, presents New Dances PLUS: Edition 2013 from December 11-15, 2013featuring Juilliard alumna Pina Bausch's Wind von West (Wind from the West) performed by 4th-Year Dancers, plus three world premiere commissions created for each of the classes of Juilliard's Dance Division. This year's innovative choreographers are Juilliard alumnus Takehiro Ueyama (1st-Year Dancers); Brian Brooks (2nd-Year Dancers); and Juilliard alumnus Darrell Grand Moultrie (3rd-Year Dancers).

Jacob's Pillow Presents Tere O'Connor's Inventive Work Cover Boy, July 17-21

Jacob's Pillow presents Tere O'Connor Dance in Cover Boy, July 17-21 in the Doris Duke Theatre. Created by choreographer and Artistic Director Tere O'Connor in 2011, Cover Boy explores the closeted gay experience and universal feeling of "otherness" in a poignant and thought-provoking way. Gia Kourlas in Time Out New Yorkcomments "Cover Boy looks at beauty, the body, fear, and desire to find the positive in what would otherwise be thought of as a marginalized existence." Siobhan Burke of The New York Times notes "…hopeful and fearful, aggressive and affectionate, communal and solitary. Mr. O'Connor's dancers embody those contradictions with superb audacity and elegance." This performance is presented as part of the Pillow's annual LGBT Weekend OUT, featuring a packed schedule of free and ticketed performances, talks, and special events, including a Ted Shawn and His Men Dancers tour led by Director of Preservation Norton Owen Sunday, July 21 at noon.

VIDEO: Extended Promo for Next Week's 90210

On next week's all new episode of 90210, titled 'Dude, Where's My Husband?,' Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) meets up-and-coming mogul Jordan Welland (guest star Robbie Jones), who hires her to plan events for his media empire, while Annie (Shenae Grimes), Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) and Silver (Jessica Stroup) plan a girls' night out for Naomi, which ends with disastrous results. Dixon (Tristan Wilds) starts to develop feelings for Michaela (guest star LynDon Smith), and Liam (Matt Lanter) finds out that the Cronus brothers plan to blame Navid (Michael Steger) for the cheating ring and is forced to befriend them to clear Navid's name. Trevor Donovan also stars. Matthew Diamond directed the episode written by Liz Phang (#517).

Film Society of Lincoln Center Announces 41st DANCE ON CAMERA

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Films Association today announced the lineup for the 41st edition of Dance on Camera. Taking place February 1-5, the dance-centric film festival returns to the Film Society for the 17th consecutive year with an exciting and diverse array of dance films, including several premieres.

THIRTEEN's Great Performances Presents Anna Deavere Smith's 'Let Me Down Easy,' 1/13

Anna Deavere Smith's latest production,Let Me Down Easy airs on THIRTEEN's Great Performances Friday, January 13 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings). Originally presented at Long Wharf Theatre, the play received its New York premiere at Second Stage Theatre. The Great Performances production was recorded inFebruary 2011 in the Kreeger Theater at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in Washington, D.C., launching a national tour that concluded in September.
