Complicated piece of theater requires audience go along for the ride

"Jane Eyre" is a musical drama based on the classic novel by Charlotte Bronte - it premiered on Broadway in 2000 and received five Tony Awards, including "Best Musical". The Barn Players will present the musical opening Friday, April 15th through Sunday May 1st at the Barn Players Theatre, 6219 Martway in Mission. The play is rated "PG" and features husband and wife, Alisha and Matt Richardson, in starring roles; Alisha as Jane Eyre and Matt as Rochester.

The Barn Players presents JANE EYRE, Book by John Caird, Music and Lyrics by Paul Gordon, Additional Lyrics by John Caird.  Based on the novel by Charlotte Bronte, directed by Jeannette Bonjour, with Musical Direction by Baker Purdon.  April 15 - May 1, 2016.

Kip Simmons directs the musical based on the 1967 film of the same name, starring Julie Andrews. Richard Morris wrote the original story and screenplay for Universal Pictures. CHRYSANTHEMUM, which opened in London in 1956, was the basis for the story and screenplay.
