The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport is pleased to announce BROADWAY CELEBRATION on Friday January 8, 2010 at 8PM and BROADWAY SPOTLIGHT on Saturday January 9, 2010 at 8PM, produced exclusively for the theater by New York Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis. Both shows will feature Big Broadway talent in the intimate 400 seat setting of the John W. Engeman Theater at Northport.

Broadway favorite Christopher Sieber (Shrek, Spamalot) spent Saturday, December 12 mentoring the young talent of Broadway's future as they led the morning portion of a Shrek master class with Broadway Artists Alliance. Sieber (Lord Farquaad) answered questions and candidly spoke about his experiences with Shrek as well as other stage and screen credits to a group of eager and talented young performers ages 10 to 21. The group's morning Q & A was followed with a Song Interpretation class led by Sieber. The master class concluded with a Musical Theatre Audition Technique session by a representative from Tara Rubin casting.

WEST SIDE STORY Recoups After 30 Weeks

WEST SIDE STORY producers announced today the recoupment of the show's $14 million investment after running only 30 Weeks (247 performances). The smash hit revival opened on Broadway Thursday, March 19, 2009 and began previews Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Palace Theatre, where it holds the house record for highest weekly gross. A national tour of this production of WEST SIDE STORY will begin in the fall of 2010.
