The Inconvenience returns to the underbelly of The Chopin Theatre to present nine intimate performances in the 6th installment of the acclaimed Fly Honey Show. 

 From Francisco Goya's Duchess of Alba in White to a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts' 2016 lineup of exhibitions offers a remarkable variety of artistic media and periods. The year begins with European Old Masters, including Fra Angelico, Goya, Murillo and Rubens, from an illustrious Spanish private collection in Treasures from the House of Alba: 500 Years of Art and Collecting. In late spring, the beautifully designed high-performance Italian coachbuilt cars, concept cars, and motorcycles of Bellissima! The Italian Automotive Renaissance, 1945-1975 will roll into the galleries and remain through the summer. Samurai: The Way of the Warrior, a dynamic exhibition of medieval and early modern Japanese armory and customs, closes out the year.

The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity presents Black Hole Wedding, a new musical fueled by shimmying electrons, with script and lyrics by Katherine Brann Fredricks and script and music by Paul Edward Nelson. Katherine Brann Fredricks directs a cast of eleven including Tommy Alsip*, Hadley Cronk*, Sean Hayden*, Ashanti J'Aria*, Anthony Michael Lopez*, David Marmanillo*, Meg McWhorter*, Rebecca Odorisio*, Aaron Riesebeck*, and Ravi Roth*. Four performances for Black Hole Wedding will be staged at the Paradise Factory, Upstairs Theatre, 64 E. 4th St., NYC from tonight, June 26-July 10 as part of The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place June 15 - July 12 at the Paradise Factory in New York City.

This Saturday, June 20th, The Inconvenience and Locallective band together to present QuickDraw: a one-night-only Game Show/Art Show/Punk Show. The Inconvenience and Locallective have each selected two visual artists for the battle and The Inconvenience's Mary Williamson hosts as the artists square off head-to-head to complete the quickest, loudest, most exciting collection of works during the games where the audience plays the judge.

Slated to open today, May 30th, 2014, and directed by Shade Murray, Love Tapes will co-star Inconvenience company members Chris Chmelik and Mary Williamson. Love Tapes will be now be presented at Angel Island, home of Mary-Arrchie Theatre Company.

The Jeff Awards Committee today announced 128 nominations in 24 categories of Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2013, and March 31, 2014. The Non-Equity Awards honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract. Jeff judges attended opening nights of 147 productions offered by 65 Non-Equity producing organizations. The judges recommended 66 of those shows, making them eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations. Thirty theatre companies received nominations.
