The Laurie Beechman Theatre is excited to announce THE BEECHMAN FOLLIES, a thrilling one night only concert featuring some of the outstanding talents who have graced the stage of our midtown venue over the past three years. Among the cast are some of Broadway's brightest lights, as well as cabaret's most dynamic performers. The concert will benefit The Beechman's acclaimed Voices from the Great White Way series, which features one night only concerts from some of our favorite Broadway vocalists.

New York Festival Of Song (NYFOS, www.nyfos.org), founded by Steven Blier and Michael Barrett, who 'redefined the song recital with daring and dramatic programming,' (The New Yorker) announces its 22nd Season for 2009-2010 with performances at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center and at The Juilliard School.

The Joe Iconis Rock and Roll Jamboree is a laid-back, fired-up evening of Iconis tunes, featuring new jams, old faithfuls, and glimpses into the future. Songs of hate and hope, suburbia and pornography, cougars and jailbait, dead people and livin' things, and more sing-alongs than you can shake a glass of whiskey at. Some special guests will join Joe for this, the first leg of his legendary 'Mule Mutation' Tour 2009. So come on down to the Jamboree- it's loud, soft, sweet, nasty, and above all else, bloody as hell. Debut album out later this year.

Broadway veteran Mary Testa has just finished her regular gig performing as General Cartwright in Guys & Dolls on Broadway and is slated to perform her latest musical presentation, Sleepless Variations, on July 13 at Cape May Stage.

On June 23rd, Kelli O'Hara, Michael Cerveris, Mary Testa, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Sherie Rene Scott, Holly Brook and cast members of 'Spring Awakening' joined together to celebrate the release of 'Listen' at an in-store event. The in-store performance and CD signing will took place at 4pm, at the new Barnes and Noble East Side event space, at 86th and Lexington Avenue. On June 23rd, a remarkable album, eight years in the making, will be released. 'LISTEN' is a collection of 15 original songs, written by children who stutter, and recorded by iconic artists including Carly Simon, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Duncan Sheik, John Forte, Mandy Patinkin and many others. In addition, Jon Bon Jovi donated the use of his studio, so that his state-of-the-art facility could support the recording process. Superstars from the worlds of pop, rock, R&B, Broadway, hip-hop and more joined together to contribute their time and talents to a cause bigger than stuttering - a call for compassion and acceptance, and for respect of one-another's differences.

Guys and Dolls will close on Broadway on June 14th, the show will have played 28 previews and 113 performances. Guys and Dolls stars Oliver Platt ('Nathan Detroit'), Lauren Graham ('Miss Adelaide'), Craig Bierko ('Sky Masterson') and Kate Jennings Grant ('Sarah Brown'). The first joint Broadway project by two-time Tony Award winning director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo since their collaboration on the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys, Guys and Dolls began previews on February 5th, 2009 at Broadway's newly refurbished Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street). Guys and Dolls stars Oliver Platt ('Nathan Detroit'), Lauren Graham ('Miss Adelaide') were honored with their very own caricature unveiling at the world famous Broadway eatery, Sardi's Restaurant (234 West 44th Street) on Tuesday, May 12th.

Star of stage and screen, Cynthia Nixon, has joined the cast of The Pink Campaign on Broadway - an inspirational Broadway benefit performance filling the stage with original music and theatre that explores the ways in which breast cancer touches people's lives. Other new additions to the evening include actors Will Rogers ('Gossip Girl,' From Up Here) and Charles Shaughnessy (Urinetown, 'The Nanny') and directors Michael Berresse ([title of show]) and Marc Bruni (White Christmas).

The Young Professionals Committee of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, New York City Affiliate will present The Pink Campaign on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd St). This one-night only event will take place on Monday, May 4, 2009 and will be an inspirational Broadway benefit performance filling the stage with original music and theatre that explores the ways in which breast cancer touches people's lives.
