Angela Brown and Ben Crawford Host Duke Energy Yuletide Celebration, Now thru 12/23

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has announced that renowned opera star and Indianapolis native Angela Brown will co-host this year's annual holiday production of Duke Energy Yuletide Celebration with noted Broadway actor Ben Crawford, who starred on the Great White Way in Shrek the Musical. Brown will become the first host of Yuletide Celebration who was born and raised in this city.

Audra McDonald is New Host of PBS's LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER

PBS announced yesterday that five-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will be the new host for the long-running series LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER. The singer and actress will host seven broadcasts of the show starting next month through spring of 2013.

PlayhouseSquare honored the founding chair of its board of trustees, Oliver C. "Pudge" Henkel, Jr., and his successor, John F. Lewis, with its highest award, the PlayhouseSquare Star Award for Achievement in the Performing Arts, at its annual Chairman's Dinner on Monday night. Past honorees include legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch, Disney Theatricals President Thomas Schumacher and Broadway producers Kevin McCollum and Margo Lion.
