The Smith Center's Opening Celebration will take place tonight at 7:00pm. ctor Neil Patrick Harris will host the celebration which will feature performances by Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson; country artists Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris and Martina McBride; singer songwriter Carol King; trumpeter Arturo Sandoval; violinist Joshua Bell; gospel great Mavis Staples; Train lead singer Pat Monahan; and American Ballet Theater dancers Marcello Gomes and Luciana Paris.

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts announced yesterday 35 new shows to its summer schedule at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Tickets are on sale now to members and go on sale Saturday, March 24 at 10am to the public.

Country music superstars Luke Bryan, Sara Evans, Tim McGraw and Jennifer Nettles have been added to the all-star lineup of artists scheduled to perform at the ACM PRESENTS: LIONEL RICHIE AND FRIENDS - IN CONCERT. The concert will be taped April 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be broadcast Friday, April 13 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Martina McBride will perform on Friday, August 10, Earth, Wind & Fire will perform on Saturday, July 28 and Heart will perform on Thursday, August 9 as part of the Summer Concert Series at the Pacific Amphitheatre at the 2012 OC Fair. As always, concert and action sports tickets include Fair admission. Select shows are on sale March 3.

Musical geniuses Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Seger, Don Schlitz, Harvey Schmidt & Tom Jones and Jim Steinman will become the newest members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the organization's 43rd Annual Induction and Awards Dinner. The star-studded event is slated for Thursday, June 14th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Additional special award honorees will be announced soon.

Jim Brickman makes his Philadelphia debut at the Merriam Theater with a program entitled An Evening of Romance on February 18, 2012 at 8pm.

Parton reportedly is at work on a musical adaptation of her own life's story, which will hopefully find its way to Broadway-and, subsequently, to the rest of America just as her 9 to 5: The Musical has. A musical comedy full of laughter and sidesplitting Southern sass, 9 To 5: The Musical follows three women as they scheme to take control of their company from a chauvinistic and sexist boss. 9 to 5: The Musical is about joining forces and taking care of business.
