Jason Alexander, artistic director of Reprise Theatre Company, will star in 'They're Playing Our Song,' September 28 to October 10 (press opening September 29) at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, to open the company's 2010-2011 season. The COMEDY SERIES kicks off with the iconic American comic, JERRY SEINFELD, appearing in two stand-up performances on November 6, 2010. In a rare solo appearance, entertainment legend and comedy queen WHOOPI GOLDBERG performs for one night only on January 15, 2011. NPR's award-winning comedy quiz show WAIT WAIT...DON'T TELL ME!, jumps straight off the airwaves and into the Knight Concert Hall February 3 and 4, 2011 for a series of live performances and audio tapings to air on NPR Member Stations. CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY, the show where surprise guest stars read from the real and really hilarious memoirs of their celebrity colleagues, takes Miami by storm, April 28-May 8, 2011.

Paula Brancati, Lauren Collins, Wendy Crewson, Cynthia Dale, Andrea Martin, and Louise Pitre are officially set to be the first cast of the Toronto production of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE. As in the initial New York staging of the play by Nora and Delia Ephron, the production will feature a company of six that rotates in four-week cycles. The next cast will be announced in the next upcoming weeks.

Producer Orin Wolf and Off the Aisle Productions have announced that It Must Be Him, a new comedy by Kenny Solms, co-creator and writer of the legendary, Emmy Award-winning 'Carol Burnett Show,' will premiere this summer at the Peter J. Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street). Directed by Daniel Kutner, It Must Be Him will begin performances on Tuesday, August 24, and officially open on Wednesday, September 1. The limited engagement ends Sunday, September 26.

HBO and Comcast are proud to announce the return of a favorite Washington summertime tradition, Screen on the Green. Marking its 11th year, the festival will kick-off July 12th with the 1964 classic 'Goldfinger.'

ThroughLine Artists with J.J. Kandel and John McCormack will present SUMMER SHORTS 4, their fourth annual festival of new American short plays, at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street). Performances begin Friday July 30th, and continue through Thursday September 2nd.

One of Orange County, California's newest theater companies, 3D Theatricals, will present HELLO, DOLLY! from July 9 through August 1 at the gorgeous O.C. Pavilion Theatre in the Arts District of downtown Santa Ana. Starring as the matchmaker Dolly Levi will be Broadway veteran (and Los Angeles-area theater favorite) Ruth Williamson. During a break from show preparations, Williamson paused briefly for a chat with BroadwayWorld's Michael Lawrence Quintos to discuss her extensive history in the theater and her excitement in taking on the iconic role.

Amongst the nominations were Broadway vets Lea Michele and Matt Morrison for Best Actress and Actor in a Comedy and GLEE for Best Comedy Series.

Audiences will be whisked away to 1960s Baltimore when Pittsburgh CLO presents Hairspray July 20 - August 1 at the Benedum Center. Adapted for the stage from John Water's 1988 film, Hairspray ran on Broadway for over six years and has since become a toe-tapping hit all over the world.

Two-time Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Musicals will bring the delightful new musical comedy Radio Girl to the stage this summer at The Norma Terris Theatre, its home for developing new works in Chester, Conn. Based on the beloved story of Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, this wholesome tale will charm audiences of all ages July 29 through August 22.

I've been waiting years to see Wicked. Numerous times I've just missed the national tour as I moved from city to city and there were some unfortunately timed vacations along the way. For years friends and family have been telling me how much I have to see this show and the Original Cast Recording has played countless times in my car and office. So last night as three winged-monkeys turned a crank to raise the Wicked curtain during the Overture, my excitement could not have been higher. But I never imagined I would leave the theatre feeling…disheartened.

They will be joined by virtuoso bassist Dave Phillips. The ticketed event is open to the public.

Once again, Bryant Park will be a destination for film buffs on summer nights in New York City, with an all-star legendary film line up for the 18th year of the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival Presented by Time Warner Cable in association with the Bryant Park Corporation.

The 2010 Summer Gala will honor Lincoln Center Theater Executive Producer and former Public Theater Associate Producer Bernard Gersten and Bank of America. The Gala will be held on Monday, June 21 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park and will include a dinner under the stars, a performance of The Merchant of Venice featuring Al Pacino as Shylock and a party afterward at the Belvedere Castle.

The Annoyance Theatre, Chicago's home for absurd and outrageous comedy, has announced the premiere of 40 Whacks, a darkly humorous musical based on the notorious 1892 Borden murder case.
