Photo Flash: GOD OF CARNAGE Opens at Center Theatre Group with Broadway Cast!

'God of Carnage' open last night, April 13, at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre reuniting the original Tony Award-nominated Broadway cast of Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Marcia Gay Harden in the scathingly funny, Tony Award-winning Best Play. The production is currently in previews and will play through May 29 only. Check out photos from opening night below!

Stella by Starlight to Honor Liza Minnelli, Annette Bening, et al. 5/2

The Stella Adler Studio of Acting announced today that the Sixth Annual Stella by Starlight Benefit Gala will be held on May 2nd at the home of songwriter and philanthropist, Denise Rich. This year's honorees include Liza Minnelli, Annette Bening, Muriel 'Mickey' Siebert and Donald Katz.

RIALTO CHATTER: Jackson, Mantello & Barkin to Bring THE NORMAL HEART to Broadway's Golden Theater This Spring

BroadwayWorld has learned that just before the 2010-2011 season comes to a close, Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart will open on Broadway at the Golden Theater starring Cheyenne Jackson, Joe Mantello and Ellen Barkin. Following an Actor's Fund benefit performance of the show starring Mantello and Glenn Close this past fall, rumors began swirling that Daryl Roth was hot to ressurect the property into a full-scale production - it's first on Broadway. Securing an available theater had apparently held up her efforts. it is believed that Mantello will reprise his role as Ned Weeks. Jackson will play his lover Felix Turner and Barkin will assume the role of Dr. Emma Brookner.

YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU Off for Fall

The New York Times is reporting that the revival of YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU will no longer open this fall as scheduled, nor will it play its planned pre-Broadway run at Huntington stage. Due to what lead producer Elizabeth McCann says was the busying schedule of director Anna D. Shapiro, and the passing of Martin Sheen on the lead role the production has now been delayed pending the finding of a star and theatre. No new dates have been announced.
