FX Orders Two More Seasons of Hit Animated Series ARCHER

FX will stay in the 'Danger Zone' at least through 2016 by ordering two additional seasons of its Emmy and Annie Award nominated animated hit comedy series Archer, announced Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, Presidents of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions.

FX's FARGO to Premiere in April

FX has announced that it will debut its limited series FARGO, based upon the Coen Brothers' hit 1996 film, on Tuesday, April 16 at 10 p.m. The news was announced at today's TCA event, according to Deadline.

PBS Premieres One-Hour Special UNLOCKING SHERLOCK Tonight

Leading up to the long-awaited return of MASTERPIECE 'Sherlock' (Season 3) on January 19 at 9:58 p.m. ET, PBS today announced the premiere of UNLOCKING SHERLOCK, a one-hour special that explores how writers Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss created the hit television sensation. UNLOCKING Sherlock premieres tonight, January 12, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. ET on PBS (check local listings).

THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG Tops $500 Million Worldwide

'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' continues its climb up the worldwide box office, crossing $500 million globally. The film, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), has thus far grossed an estimated $160.5 million domestically and $343.5 million internationally, for a worldwide estimated total of $504 million and growing.

On the heels of its #1 openings around the globe, 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' has surpassed $300 million at the worldwide box office after seven days in release. The film, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), has taken in an estimated $104.6 million domestically and $213.6 million internationally, for a worldwide estimated total to date of $318.2 million, including $23 million from IMAX theatres worldwide.
