Full Casting Announced For Claudia Shear's Restoration, Opens at NYTW 5/19

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Restoration, written by Claudia Shear, and directed by Christopher Ashley, will begin performances Friday, April 30, at 8pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 7:00pm. The production runs through Sunday, June 13; single tickets are on sale Friday, April 16.

This world premiere event melds together thehilarious and stunning adaptation by Keith Reddin with an epic original scoreby Andrew Gerle and Royce Vavrek. From the thunderous sound of the keys, thetrue music of a man's voice battles with your expectations. Performances for 'Black Snow' will be held February 3-6.

New York Theatre Workshop Announces The Start of their 2010-2011 Season

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo, have announced that Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, starring Elizabeth Marvel and directed by Ivo Van Hove and a new musical by 'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q composer/lyricist Robert Lopez will kick off the theatre's 2010-2011 season.

Nicola and Managing Director William Russo, and The Acting Company Producing Artistic Director Margot Harley have announced that The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, written by Rebecca Gilman, based on the novel by Carson McCullers, directed by Doug Hughes, will begin performances Friday, November 13, 2009, at 7pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery.

SDC Announces Garry Hynes And Martha Clarke As Winners Of 2009 Calloway Awards

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation has announced that the winners of the 2009 Joe A. Callaway Awards for excellence in the crafts of directing and choreography are director Garry Hynes for The Cripple of Inishmaan and choreographer Martha Clarke for Garden of Earthly Delights.

Directors Garry Hynes and Martha Clarke were the 2009 recipients of the Joe A. Callaway Award, honoring excellence in direction and choreography in non-Broadway productions in New York. Hynes won for his production of THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN and Clarke for choreography of GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS. The honors were bestowed earlier this month.

Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that I Got Sick Then I Got Better, written and performed by Jenny Allen, and directed by James Lapine and Darren Katz, will play one additional Monday-October 19-at 8pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery, before beginning a regular run at NYTW's 4th Street Theatre, 83 E 4th Street, on Friday October 23.
