National Alliance for Musical Theatre announces the line-up of directors for their 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Festival events will kick off on Monday, October 22 with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to celebrate the 30th Annual Festival.

HERE's Board of Directors announces that long-time Producing/Executive Director Kim Whitener will step down from HERE Art Center this fall to return to creative producing and consulting with her company KiWi Productions, where she will work with a range of US artists and companies primarily in the contemporary opera-theater and music-theater worlds.

Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) announced today a one-week extension for the New York Premiere of The House That Will Not Stand by Marcus Gardley (X: Or, Betty Shabazz v. The Nation), directed by NYTW Usual Suspect and Obie Award winner Lileana Blain-Cruz (Red Speedo; Pipeline). The House That Will Not Stand began previews on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, and opened Monday, July 30 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003). Originally set to close on Sunday, August 12, The House That Will Not Stand will now run through Sunday, August 19, 2018.

Award-winning Pilobolus returns to the Ted Shawn Theatre with Come To Your Senses, a program about accessing all five senses, June 27-July 1. The "mind-blowing troupe of wildly creative and physically daring dancers" (NY Newsday) guides audiences through a multi-sensory experience alongside repertory classics and new work, including the first all-women trio in the company's history. In celebration of the upcoming anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which finally extended the right to vote to American women, the Martha Graham Dance Company has announced The EVE Project—a guiding force behind the Company's 2018–19 and 2019–20 seasons. The EVE Project honors not only the progress of women in the last 100 years, but also provides entrée into today's most pressing conversations about gender and power. New works from several female choreographers have been commissioned, and the classic repertory will feature both Martha Graham's heroines and anti-heroines—all with an underlying statement about female power.

Producers Caitlin Crombleholme and Jen Hoguet are proud to announce an extension for This American Wife, created and performed by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley as part of Next Door at NYTW. Originally slated to end its run on Saturday, August 4, This American Wife will now run from Thursday, July 26 through Saturday, August 11.

Theater Latte Da (TLD) announces the slate of artists and projects for this year's NEXT Festival. Four dynamic new works from Angelica Cheri and Ross Baum, Jelloslave cellists Michelle Kinney and Jacqueline Ultar, Michael Gruber, Harrison David Rivers, Nikki Swoboda, Ryan Underbakke and Matt Spring, and Max Wojtanowicz will each receive workshops and public readings beginning Sunday, July 15. The NEXT Festival is part of TLD's NEXT 20/20, a robust new work initiative aimed at developing 20 new musicals or plays-with-music by 2020, shepherding many of them to full production. Past NEXT Festivals have offered audiences a first look at new musicals that have gone on to full production including C. (2015) and Five Points (2018).

Henry Naylor is proud to announce the New York premiere of his play, Borders, will take place as part of Next Door at NYTW this summer. The winner of the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Fringe Award and a Fringe First award, the original cast members Avital Lvova and Graham O'Mara will reprise their performances for the New York production.

Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) announced today a one-week extension for LIGHT SHINING IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, by NYTW Usual Suspect and five-time Obie Award winner Caryl Churchill (Love and Information; A Number) directed by NYTW Usual Suspect, Tony Award nominee, & three-time Obie Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown; Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812). LIGHT SHINING IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, NYTW's eighth collaboration with Churchill, began previews on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, and will open Monday, May 7 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003). LIGHT SHINING IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, which was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, May 27, will now run through Sunday, June 3, 2018.
