This spring Kurt Peterson and Stephenie Skyllas will release a digitally mastered, archival recording of 'When Everything Was Possible - A Concert (with comments)' as memorial tribute to Victoria Mallory. Recorded live at New York City Center on April 29, 2012, 'When Everything Was Possible' was a memorable evening of song and story featuring Kurt Peterson and Victoria Mallory, in what would be her final public stage performance. Mallory, one of the brightest lights of Broadway's Golden Era, tragically passed away from pancreatic cancer on August 30, 2014.

BroadwayWorld.com has confirmed the sad news this morning that actress Victoria Mallory died on August 30, 2014 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She leaves behind her husband (and former A Little Night Music co-star) Mark Lambert, and daughter Ramona Mallory Lambert, also an actress.

'Sondheim: A Musical Tribute' was the title given to a benefit staged in March 1973. American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the National Hemophilia Foundation first wanted to honor Harold Prince, but he declined, so they chose Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim thought it would be 'merely a dinner,' but it was actually a full-scale production with 33 performers and a 30-piece orchestra, staged on the set of the then-running 'A Little Night Music' at the Shubert Theatre. New York's City Center can be a dark and unwelcoming place on a Friday afternoon. The recently restored interior is obscured by shadows and the only light comes from the merciless worklights over the stage which only partially illuminate the two performers beneath them. Yet, even through these shadows, the admirable skills of two Broadway veterans are evident as they recreate their roles in WEST SIDE STORY. Both actors appeared in this musical classic over forty years ago at Lincoln Center.

While those attending the first Broadway revival of 'A Little Night Music' may be lured in by the big names of such classic stage and screen actors as Angela Lansbury, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alexander Hanson, Broadway newcomer Ramona Mallory, who plays the role of Anne, may have one of the most interesting connections to the production. Mallory is the daughter of Victoria Mallory, the actress who created the role on Broadway in 1973.
